I’ve backed Alexandrracollantie in the 455 carlisle , looked to be coming to hand at yarmouth last time,an odd place for whillans to send a horse , unless they were down on holiday !
back at a stiff track , could be ready to strike !!! betting is short 7/1

It seems that most of Oisin's rides are shortening today... Might be in for multiple wins going by it... Good luck G1...<ok>

In the 5.25 Tipperary the available form is fairly tight and it isn't very strong. Blissful seemed to improve with a second in a maiden last time but the winner of that race, French Rain was thrashed in better company next time. In any event, Blissful's previous run, when well behind in 7th in a Group 2 race was deemed the stronger run. She is tempting at 4/1 as a daughter of Galileo but after three starts she is getting a bit frustrating.

Tasalka looks too short for me at 2/1. The Weld filly made progress from run 1 to run 2 but her RPR of 78 is not insurmountable and she will probably need another 10 lbs to win this tonight.

Too Soon To Panic ran well on debut in a race that has worked out for other runners. She was a bit disappointing next time though, running to a 7 lbs lower rating and only being 4th. Not quite doing it for me and the similarly profiled Innervisions is not tempting me either.

I decided to have a couple of quid on the Harrington newcomer Mente Hermosa at 9/1. This filly is by Gleneagles and she cost 200,000 Guineas. It's a guessing game with newcomers but there has been some support for Mente Hermosa today and the stable have some decent 2YO's this season.

    5.25 Tipperary Mente Hermosa 9/1

Not much of a run from Mente Hermosa but that's the boom or bust nature of newcomers. I should have stayed tempted with Blissful at the 4/1 odds.

I thought Blissful was going to win readily the way she travelled up to the more vigorously ridden Tasalka but she really had to dig in to get there and pip the weak in the betting Tasalka, who drifted from 2/1 to 7/2 CF. The pair were a couple of lengths ahead of Ger Lyons's Even So who made a promising start in running on well to take 3rd place.

I suspect there were no future stars lurking in that race with the winner and second having now run 4 times and 3 times and in all probability run to about 90 at best this evening.

Later on Skitter Scatter made a decent return when beaten half a length in the Group 3 Fairy Bridge Stakes. She broke well but the jockey seemed keen to restrain her and she was held back in midfield, My first thought was that the jockey left her a lot to do but to be fair she finished well and looked likely to win, only for the year older Waitingfortheday to swoop later still and grab victory by half a length.

It was a run that suggested Skitter Scatter has recovered from the injury sustained in the Newmarket 1000 Guineas and it seemed to me that she got the trip well enough. It was short of the Group 1 aspiration but in the circumstances she did well enough for a filly who raced a fair bit from an early starting point last season and as a result she was labelled a bust after a poor effort in the 1000 Guineas.

As always, the bounce is a possibility next time but my overall feeling is that she did well tonight after a bad injury in the Guineas.
