Have we played an evening match there since the testimonial that went on to show it was a bad idea? Certainly an evening game makes it a completely different proposition and I'm sure they'd never do it by choice. Wouldn't fancy the bubble getting out of there unscathed if we win tbh.

Fortunately our league game before Pompey is Bournemouth which got moved to Friday night. So we will get an extra day between games.

Not for me personally. First meeting in over 7 years and nearly 15 years since we last beat them. Oh and Harry was in charge of us for that one This win is a long time coming for me and if it goes wrong it will be utterly horrendous.
Yeah the fact we play them so rarely is what makes our derby special, and nothing gets the blood pumping quite like a cup draw for our first meeting for a while. Anyone got any valium?
That's fair enough. As much as I hate Pompey as I didn't grow up in Southampton my hated would be slightly less than you guys! It feels a bit like when my team from home Finn Harps got promoted for the first time in years and the first fixture of the league pitted us against Derry, our arch rivals who we had only ever beaten once in the league...the build up to the match and atmosphere was fantastic...made all the better when we won! would absolutely love to be in the away end in Fratton for the game so anyone that is make plenty of noise and savour the victory!
