I thought Koeman was pretty good at game management. Remember being 2-0 down at home to Liverpool, and getting overrun in midfield? Ron brings on Wanyama and Mane (I know, right?), and everything changes.

I still love Ron. What a guy, despite his many faults.

 

Yeah right, whatever! Like there was a time we’d be able to bring a world class striker and a beast of a midfield stopper off the bench ...

 

I think I remember they were only on the bench because they were on the naughty step

 

The point is, his substitutions completely changed the game. That’s just one example of when they did.
