You misunderstood me. I don't want any club to go bust. ManU, however, more than any other club, have been the epitomy of greed, mass commercialistion and media hyping. Perhaps it's no coincedence that two clubs that were bigger than Newton Heath a century ago, and who are located but a few miles from Trafford and Salford, are potentially about to die. I'm not blaming Man U for their plight, of course, but it barely resembles a football club at all these days.
Oh.....and by the way, Newcastle has more right to the term 'United' than your lot since we incorporated it about 20 years earlier. Come to think of it, City have more right to the title Manchester. Perhaps you should go back to being called Newton Heath or perhaps Salford One and your newly born brothers down the road Salford Two?

Bollocks to the EFL and their lack of regulations and bollox to the Prem for not giving a bigger slice of the pie and bollox to Bury's **** owners.

 

Weren't Tottenham Hotspur PLC the first English club to be quoted on the Stock Exchange? In which case they started all this, so maybe they should be sacrificed on everyone else's behalf. The Romans were always sacrificing cockerels and **** to their gods, so it might work.

Looks like Notlob has been saved, at least.

 

Apparently an international consortium is trying to get Bury a reprieve as they have the money to complete the sale and presumably see out the season.

False hope for them I guess ultimately though.
