Winning can be habit forming. We should continue to work on that. Win ugly when you have to, win pretty when you can. A good result against a tricky opponent. Hope the injuries are nothing major.
Despite often being critical of Cedric, and quick to point out his limitations, I realise that in fact, I love the guy. A true pro. (I assume he still couldn't get a cross together on Easter Sunday?)
Steady. Got forward a lot, supported Djenepo and Boufal a lot with overlapping runs. One of our most energetic players and didn’t really put a foot wrong all night.
We got incredibly lucky last season that Redmond managed to avoid injury and played virtually every game for us. He was essentially our only attacking threat throughout most of the season. It will be a big miss for us if he is out for any length of time, fingers crossed it's nothing serious, but we do at least have several attacking options this season to fall back on.
It looked like he kicked the ground as he shot. I'm just wondering if he's broken a bone in his foot.
The fan on the radio was moaning and completely ignoring the fact that we won! that's the only reason I said FFS, cup football is all about getting through isn't it?
The thing is that the poor performances were both in the first half of games and give a false impression, both matches we were much improved after the interval and I prefer it that way than to the opposite.
Hard to tell with all those minuscule bones that are in a human foot. There shouldn't be any significant ligament damage as that definitely causes swelling.
