Yeah, that's the old one. San Miguel has replaced this, proper head banging stuff. Stella is nice and tame now. I still can't face the draught stuff though. Gonna be in the brewery that makes all this **** next month. Budweiser and Stella ffs, there's no benefit to being there at all.
Yeah they changed it as it got a bad rep. Old one was 5.2% and new one is 4.8%. I'll always choose Stella myself but it has to be said the old one is far better. Some places still do it if you're lucky.
Used to be able to get them for years in Polish shops down here after the change. They genuinely tasted worse afterwards too, me n my pal commented on it before we even noticed the percentage difference. Don't reckon you'd get 5.2's anymore but maybe the flat 5's.
Theres an Indian shop on Abbotsbury road that still manages to get the 5.2%, but only now and then. Yeah the taste is different, I much prefer the old Stella
Best non alcoholic drink. Sparkling water with a slice of lemon (must be served ice cold) Best alcoholic drink is seasonal dependent. Summer = ice cold crisp dry lager. Winter = Good quality rum, no mixers, no ice cubes
All of those lagers have been sold of to UK licence brewers now, so it's basically all the same stuff with some different flavourings. ****e basically. If you can get Stella on draught in Europe, then it's authentic stuff. But the stuff sold in cans (and bottles) in the UK is about as French as a chip butty these days.
