I believe England will now win the ashes back. Steve Smith has been great but good as he is but he is due for a few low scores. The Aussie bowlers cannot bowl better than they did in the first innings and England cannot bat worse, they are due for some big scores. Come on lads show what you can do.

I think most of the English team are pissed. I certainly was when I woke up this morning to see that Smith had a double ton. :steam:

Only 275 more runs needed to avoid the follow on

Smith is a beast with the bat, Australia batted well, we bowled and fielded poorly. We have a few players who don’t look that fit to me. If we can salvage a draw from this one it would be a good result

I watched on TV when the players resumed after lunch. Even the commentators were remarking on the apparent lethargy of the English team. They wandered about, lacking enthusiasm, hands in pockets, meandering around the field aimlessly, no hurry in taking up heir fielding positions and generally disinterested in what was about to happen. I don't support the Aussies in cricket but one thing I will say for them is that they do display a sense of purpose and energy. C'mon, England, socks up.

What a farce. England being represented by this lot? Sack the lot of them and field a team of schoolboys, at least they would try. Bloody disgusting. :steam:

Between the two teams, they must have the worst set of opening batsmen to ever contest the ashes.
