Its actually less controversial if the referee gives the penalties rather than playing on and having to pull play back. Problem is, they still don't like to "undermine" the referee so the decision rarely gets overturned.

 

My point is the same community bond and culture that you held together after Hillsborough. Just because they are tiny clubs in comparison to Liverpool, does not mean their community is any less a value.

PL has enough money to face these clubs without even noticing the payout. Problem is, more clubs will end up in this position if they know the PL will bail them out.

There will always be clubs that spend beyond their means chasing the promised land.

 

I know mate, it's just it's about time the footballing bodies and the government took these problems more seriously.

 

As long as the PL keep skimming all the cream, there will never be a bail out.

 

I am all for an increase in the percentage of money going to the lower leagues but as someone else on here said you then have to put controls in place to ensure that the clubs are properly run.

Need to:
1. Make sure clubs are self-funding. League to review and cancel promotion for any club that is not.
2. Owners can put money in but not in the form of loans - can only donate
3. New owners cannot fund the club purchase from club revenue/profit
4. Supporters trusts to be given a say in the running of the clubs

 

I think all clubs should be at least 25% owned by fans. Shareholders schemes through supporters trusts etc. And via that mechanism they should be given a seat on the board too.

Abolutely agree, Much the same as the rules for Prem clubs, stop stealing our fooking yougsters, keep within your allowed rich budgets, Man City & Chelsea! They all only survive at the top with TV revenue, if that stopped, they would all be down here with us. Wouldn't it be nice if we could steal their cream, and watch them go under, and not give a shhite in the world the same way they do.

Exactly, if there's a bail out then you'll get more bad owners. If there is to be a bail out system then I'm sure the top clubs will be happy to contribute as long as there are strict regulations that prevent them from losing their money to some dickhead who bought a club for £1
