Don't worry Den, I'll not be fooled that easy.

    Having a T-shirt printed for the gig " I'm NOT Vic "

    That'll do the trick.

Saw SoD a few times, though for reasons I still can't remember didn't go to see ToH at tower and still think ToH was the better band... Also failed to see New Order and Birthday Party at tower, oh the follies of youth ...

Can't remember the Birthday Party playing Tower? Nick Cave was in Hull! You don't mean Bauhaus? Went to the TOH one.

Noted recently that Tom Petty played Hull Uni in June 77. Was anyone on here there? Some records show it as Tom Petty and THB 2nd solo gig in uk. That is not as a support artist (on the Nils Lofgren tour) just wondered if anyone can clear that up.

    Hmmmm don't recall this one

From memory there was Johnny Thunders.....then in the autumn term there was Eddie and the Hot Rods (can't remember who supported), then the Damned (support The Dead Boys) and later The Adverts (support Steel Pulse)

Hated the venue. Dreadful Dame Judy of patchouli, and bearded rugby shirt types trying to gozz at the groups.

Some of you might like Kev Precious's post punk radio show on Hull Kingston Radio every Monday night at 8, he's on now, very knowledgeable about alternative music from mainly from the late 70's.

Any of youse frequent Dingwalls in its short but glorious burst of spluttering existence?

Wilco Johnson. John Cooper Clarke. The Polecats. Richard Hell. Big Country. Doctor Feelgood.

Plus local groups like Red Guitars, Quel Domage and The Gargoyles.

And the greatest early 80s band of all time, One The Juggler.

    Which I missed unfortunately.

Then some **** burnt it down.

For example tonight we've had gems from Siouxsie, the Adverts, Can, Johnny Thunders, the Au Pairs, XTC, the Specials, and some reggae, always something interesting.
