Anybody watched "The Borgias"? Seen the first episode and thought meh. But I also thought that about the first episode or two of "Blood and Sand" and was glad I decided to give it another try. "Lost" was complete and utter bollocks. I think I watched the first 3 and then gave it a miss.
My friends wouldn't shut up about the inbetweeners, saying it was ace, and i'd love it. I watched it, and hated it. The most overrated tv show of the 21st century so far.
Celebrity Juice.....can't stand the advertisement never mind a thirty minute show The Wire IS the greatest show ever made
According to facebook status updates from my idiotic friends, Celebrity Juice is the best comedy show ever <cough>
Alright, alright. I watched the first episode and thought it looked ok, but missed the next one and haven't bothered since. Have I missed much?
I dunno. That's why I was asking. She's got them downloaded and after watching the first I'm in two minds about watching any more of them.
I always thought shows like Dr who were rubbish dont see the fuss with star wars either. although i seem to like it more now, yes even the prequels I think hype ruins a movie, because you expect so much more I watched In Bruge, The Guard on the off chance and thought they were decent flicks, maybe it was because there was no hype I hated family guy initially too, my brother used to go on about it being brilliant. love it now so maybe it was the hype
The effects looks just so cheesy as well, I genuinely don't understand what is so scary about it. I've got no compulsion to watch the Inbetweeners, everyone, and I mean everyone I know cums themselves over it. I'm not going to say it's **** because I've never seen it, but I don't want to see it. Some of these shows you really have to be patient. With Lost and 24 it can drag on a bit but it's worth it in the end IMO. Lost wasn't fantastic, purely because of the ending and how ridiculous it got but there were times when it was fantastic. 24 ended well I thought, much more so than Lost. The Wire is superb, there is only 60 odd episodes I think (5 seasons, 12 or 13 episodes in a season) so there's no excuse not to see it! I've never really watched any reality show from X Factor or Britain's Got Talent to Big Brother. I do tend to stick with American TV programmes however, probably the one aspect of American that I do like, I think they make some great TV. House, Game of Thrones (even though majority of the cast are British or just not American, Sean Bean, Lena Headley) The Wire and 24 are some of my favourites.
Dr Who is the bitch's tits, man - only thing my whole family watch together I ****ing hate American TV - I'm sure I've done this rant before - because they're syndicated in chunks of 24 episodes, reviewed after 10 and re-written if necessarily popular, they never reach their natural conclusion until, by definition, they cease to become popular. That's why Lost was soooooo ****. It was originally conceived as 24 episodes but was re-written, stretched out and stupid ****e added because its ratings were good. Cynical commercial bollocks IMO
