Back in Cornwall now, so heading out for a walk up to a cairn/tor and then back down again for some lunch a lovely coastal pub.
Avoid it mate. It’s a British disease. At the first sign of the golden orb in the sky they all pack granny and the kids into the Focus and head for the coast, where they get to sit in a 2 hour traffic jam. When they get there there’s nowhere to park, so they get ripped off by some hooky ‘car park’ Then there’s the beach! You get to fight for your sq foot to put your deck chair in and listen to other people’s brats screaming and crying and digging up sand by your feet. So, you head to the pub. No luck there either. It’s either full to bursting or been taken over by a bunch of fat, tattooed, bald pissheads in Union Jack swimming shorts. So, you finally head off home and sit in another 2 hour jam, swearing to god you’ll never do this again.
Thanks mate I’m only about 20 mins away on a normal day, so it’s not too far and where I go isn’t a real ‘bucket and spade’, Union Jack gammon, type place.
Heading to beach now. Parking sound as I park at golf club. Beach hopefully not too busy as it's more a 'locals' beach. A dip in the sea here and there then back up to golf club bar for some food and drinks. Five minutes from the house, tidy!
Been at the mother-in-laws less than 2 miles from the Brecon Beacons ... been lovely weather and mountains all around so scenery pretty good too... setting off for home just after lunch via Cardiff ... then back to work via the good old M25 tomorrow morning ... can't wait
