Whereas you're a 3rd Division club. Not even a joke anymore, just irrelevant
Not really irrelevant. Temporary plight. I hope NUFC break away from the current ownership as it causes the club to be stuck in the middle. Unfortunately, I think its gonna need a Man City type takeover or a rebuilding from the ashes AKA SAFC. best of luck with Ashley.
I personally hate what he's done to your club. There's kind of nowhere to go under his ownership - I just believe that he should go at any cost, as even if its the unwanted option of relegations and a discounted sale then it will give the chance to rebuild

Why the hell would a billion dollar firm be looking to invest in Sunderland?

Obviously this will offend, but if I had a couple billion dollars lying around I wouldn't be toodling up to the cold North East of England to purchase a stake in a League One side.

I think its called ROI and ROCE. SAFC is a much more attractive buy than NUFC at the moment. Thats a major difference despite the league difference. It is pure logic Welshie. NUFC would need millions at the outset just to ay Ashleys loans. They would then need millions to push to a top 6 position. SAFC don't and can multiply their value with much less investment by promotion to the Championship and then again. Its a less risky strategy to take a team from a lower legue upwards than a debt crippled club (through loans), to the next tier of the Prem
So, the cold League one comment is actually naive

Yes, as we have the support base and history to come back. Back to back relegations should get rid of him.
What will happen in the future when Sunderland are in the top flight and you lot are down among the dead men, who will the young Newcastle lads be supporting Sunderland or ne'er do wells

I think your getting abit ahead of yourself son. Granted, we would be much better off going down and staying down to get rid of the FCB. However, SAFC are not promoted from league 1 yet. We are in August not May.
