Why the hell would a billion dollar firm be looking to invest in Sunderland? Obviously this will offend, but if I had a couple billion dollars lying around I wouldn't be toodling up to the cold North East of England to purchase a stake in a League One side.
I think its called ROI and ROCE. SAFC is a much more attractive buy than NUFC at the moment. Thats a major difference despite the league difference. It is pure logic Welshie. NUFC would need millions at the outset just to ay Ashleys loans. They would then need millions to push to a top 6 position. SAFC don't and can multiply their value with much less investment by promotion to the Championship and then again. Its a less risky strategy to take a team from a lower legue upwards than a debt crippled club (through loans), to the next tier of the Prem So, the cold League one comment is actually naive

The southeners are arll ****e in support to us, fickle as hell as well Wenger won 7 f a cups and champions league every frigging season but got booted out, no club out supports us we can be ****e and still turn up.
