I don't think thats his style though, he wasn't a vocal leader and was never going to be. You would be better off wishing that Wenger had chosen a different captain in my opinion.
How am I looking stupid? I posed a question for you to answer, and you've not only been very defensive, but also very insulting. If Fab wants to say anything (and, personally, I think he should keep his trap shut), why doesn't he just say positive things? Why say that you're not going to win the title, when it's patently obvious that you're not going to, especially because he has left you? Yes, I do believe he is sticking the knife in, and I have raised a bona fide argument to support my opinion. You may not share that opinion, but that does not give you the right to insult me. I think some of you need to grow up a little
Well at the initial stage and before Cesc issued his denials, some of us believed what was reported and as such posted opinions in respect of those reports in the same way as we comment or discuss other issues written in the press. I think if one believed that a former player were to have said those things then we would largely react that way too, as exemplified by the Nasri case. Best to move on I think guys. We have at least one cup and 3rd or 4th place to capture yet
What the flip is wrong with some of you ??? 1) Tweets do not constitute giving an interview to the media. 2) There is nothing wrong with Cesc's comments, they are 100% spot on, we have not been able to compete for the last few years and although we have come quite close we end up being miles away by the last kick of the season. 3) Cesc has every right to comment on Arsenal, he spent more years with us than he did at Barcelona, he probably loves Arsenal more than you clowns who don't complain. No Arsenal fan should be happy with the direction we have gone in since the break up of the Invincibles. Buying the players we have is scant consolation, we needed double the players we bought but some of you are blinded by the few desperate purchases that we made. Arsenal are a joke at the moment. We should be whopping the likes of Swansea, when was the last time we got convincingly outplayed for most of a ECL match against a team that wasn't Barcelona ? It happened on Tuesday.
I doubt very much that Fabregas loves Arsenal more than the people you call "clowns".There are people on here who have followed Arsenal for years and have supported the club through the bad times as well as the good.Fabregas chose to leave Arsenal,i personally will never stop supporting them
Like good ole' Cym I'm sure most of us will stay with the club, thick and thin, rain and snow, CL or ( eeks ) EL. As for Cesc, I take with a hefty pinch of salt the ' nice ' things he seems to be saying about us and his sorrow about our performance. Well he left...........
He left to go to his boyhood club who are far more competitive than us. what is there not to understand ?? So by using your example any player who left Arsenal doesn't/didn't love Arsenal ! Henry doesn't love Arsenal clearly.
You remark stated that he loved Arsenal more than the people you called clowns.I'm just stating that i doubt he would love Arsenal more than someone who chose to support Arsenal all their lives
I don't really care what the hell fab thinks about us, he is nothing to do with this club anymore and I would rather concentrate on the players that are here giving there all for the cause. I hope he is not going to turn in to an ade, talking about the club at every opportunity, just get over it and concentrate on your new club. Now it has been established that he never said that, but if he had then I think we had a pretty good right to be annoyed, it doesn't matter if it's the truth or not, he has nothing to do with the club, and if I was an arsenal player I would have been even more pissed off if it were true (but it wasn't so we don't need to worry about that lol ) There seems to be a lot of love for the guy from the arsenal fans, and I can see why, my own personal opinion is that the guy wasn't as good as the media and arsenal fans made out he was, an excellent player yes, but not in the same league as past greats (vieira, bergkamp). So in conclusion cesc please concentrate on your new job and don't talk about arsenal, if he want to talk about our great fans fair enough, and arsenal fans need to get over the fact he has left and support the boys what are pulling on the shirt every week.
Well, he couldn't have loved us that much but what the heck, like Mr Enigma, I'm past caring about what he thinks. In fact I hardly clink on any links about him anymore save for the threads here. Given his state of mind I'm glad he's gone. It couldn't have been good for morale not knowing whether your captain was keen to stay or not. I would prefer to concentrate on the players who want to be here and who week in, week out will give the club their best. The majority of them may not be as talented as Cesc but their heart is here and that counts for a lot. I don't hate the guy for leaving. Quite simply, he's gone and that's it.
Fabregas posted on Twitter: âId never speak 1 bad word abt AFC, here thereâs once more prove that so many people put in newspaper wtv they want and its not professional.â âI want Arsenal to be successful as much as every single fan. Thats not why i left, it was never in my mind. AFC made me who i am today. âAnd nobody will ever change that. I never gave any interview away since my press conference at my presentation and there i just said the truth and what came out of my heart. Great words abt this great football club cause that just what they deserve: success and trophies. âPeople can h8 me 4 leaving or remember that i gave my all for the club. But me talking 1 bad word or saying smthng against AFC will not seen.â
What makes you think that? Why would he leave his boyhood club when he is a key member of it and they have a brighter future than us? I see absolutely no reason why he would choose us over them.
I agree with Jayram. On a slightly different note, how can these 'journalists' get away with distorting the truth or printing outright lies?(rhetorical question)? Because they know most of the time it won't get to court. In the same rag (free 'Sport' magazine) I quote 'the increasingly senile Arsene Wenger'. Now that is libel in anyone's book as it would lower a 'reasonable man's' opinion of Mr Wenger. (from my partner who is a libel law expert). Now, Arsenal may not even be aware of this, but if they are made aware they should come down hard. That's the only way to stop crap (..that or have less people buying the crap in the first place but that isn't going to happen unfortunately).
How many times have I seen you post similar lines? You are a ****ing WUM & a snide one at that. Sadly, too many aren't savvy enough to see you for what you are and allow you to continue. If I had the buttons you would be banned from here with immediate effect.
Yeah he's a WUM, reminds me of a twat called Bobby Heenan from the old 606, likes to pretend they're all concerned but there's always a nasty streak behind it. Clever, but not half as clever as they think they are. Why do people bother doing this, is it some way of making themselves feel better to cover up something they lack?
No idea, mate. I am at a disadvantage, as I don't know the exact extent to which your paranoia has overtaken your judgement. Who's worse? A harmless wum or a foul-mouthed humourless internet-bully? Not that I am the former, but you most definitely are the latter. Alternatively, these "thick" Arsenal fans to whom you refer may simply not view the comments of every Spurs fan with the same degree as suspicion as you obviously do. Of that I have little doubt. And what a marvelously joyful place this board would be, my angry friend!
You know, back in our brutal past, simple villagers used to have a test for determining whether or not the hapless people they accused of being witches were, in fact, the spawn of the Devil, or merely innocent fellow villagers. What they used to do was tie stones to the miscreant and throw them into a pond. If they drowned, they were innocent and loved by God; but if they survived, they were protected by the Devil and were burned at the stake. The judgement was loaded so that, either way, the poor wretch died. Mr mas2204, are you quite sure that you've filled my pockets with enough stones...?
