    Best Ever Liverpool Manager?

Let's look at the stats here and also consider the **** squad he came in to.

Today he broke another record, longest win streak of all Liverpool managers.

Can you put an argument against?

This is by far the best I've seen liverpool play on a consistent basis... and yes I've seen the 80's team etc.

Worth a debate? Or is Klopp above/below the last generation of greats?

    Impossible to judge now
It’s like saying a band who makes an amazing first album is the best ever despite breaking records.
Let’s see where we are when he finishes :)
Looks like he is on right path though

Impossible to judge, different era's against different opponents. He's already a Liverpool legend regardless of what happens over the coming years.
We all want that title, and he has created a squad which is challenging for it.
And I agree, the footy we are playing now is on a par with the heady days of the 80's

Not a chance I'm putting him above Shanks or Sir Bob. Needs quite a few more trophies for that!

At this moment he can't be ranked among the best as the trophy haul speaks for itself. However I agree in that the job he's done so far has been amazing, I've said before that as a fan I was on my arse with football and our club as Hodgson and Rogers had ripped the Liverpool out of us, I didn't recognise my club anymore. Klopp has instilled that belief and pride back into the club and of course he's now brought us a major trophy. As a person he's really interesting and I'm very much looking forward to one day reading about his career but not until he's done and I hope there are a few more great chapters with us yet.

I couldn’t agree more. Klopp has United everything - there’s a feeling, a buzz around everything we do. We’ve become a movement again after years of being in the footballing wilderness. FSG need to take a lot of credit too.....these guys are smart.

I’m old enough to remember every single European Cup/champions League. I remember the old days - and it feels as close to that as we have been in nigh on 25 years. All we need to do now is win more trophies and Klopp will cement his name into the history books of greatest ever managers at the club. Even without trophies, he will go down as one of the most loved.

He’s done a great job for you so far, that’s without question, but to try and label him the greatest ever, is disrespectful to the achievements of Paisley and Shankly to name but two. When he has a trophy haul that even comes close to those fellas, then you can reach for the superlatives.

Guardiola is the only current manager that you could argue is better than Klopp.....but until he inherits a team that includes the likes of Moreno and Markovic, it’s impossible to properly compare <whistle>

Mate, if you try and argue who had the worst starting squad when they took on their current jobs, you are going to get dry raped!!!

I think throughout the PL era the opposition have looked upon us as a side who could be dangerous, but are eminently beatable. I think everyone sees us as much more formidable now.

Trophies wise, I don’t think any future manager will compete with Paisely’s record.

Shankly built this club into what it is so his legacy goes beyond just trophies.

Klopp is doing something similar to Shankly. If he can win the PL, then he joins that elite group.

I wasn't saying he was the best, I was opening it up for discussion.

It's the best football we've ever played imo.

He's got the highest point tally of all time.
He has the most victories in a row from any Liverpool manger.
There's quite a few other firsts too.

Obviously the trophy haul can't compare and it never will as I see him leaving in 2 seasons, managers generally don't stay around like they used to so in that sense it's never going to be a fair comparison.

The change in the club from before he came is incredible and what he has done is nothing short of remarkable.
