As I said the term 'superfan' is one dreamt up on this site by people like you who don't go. Those of us who do know the score. If you don't want to support the club, fair enough, **** off and leave it to us that do.
Today was our last match. It was also the last match for a couple sat behind us. The reasons are similar. After being evicted from the North Stand and seeing our monthly payments nearly double we could no longer afford it. If this is a true reflection of your attitude to people who don't go perhaps we should just **** off and leave it all to you.
This board created the t shirts? We should ask for a cut. You get the award for your self superiority in telling people how much of a superfan you are & who is & who isn’t a supporter. How would you like those of us who you deem “not supporters” to **** off Superfan?
Don’t always agree with you Obi but this is genuinely sad for you & your group but also a sad indictment of where the club is at the minute.
Quite an impressively ignorant post it must be said. Your choice to go and hope your granddaughter enjoyed it, but you don’t have the monopoly on what is right.
No **** does. But it's impressive that as well as those who can't afford the price hikes, we have many thousands of high-minded and principled fans who are boycotting.
He’ll be there with city man soon, the two of them and a pile of away fans, thrilled to be back to the good old days. The way it should be.
Nope. Club Twitter is ignoring those fans asking for it and it isn’t on the Sky, BBC, HDM or club website’s match reports
Yes. It was a better performance than Tuesday night, Fleming and Lopes were better than Kingsley and McKenzie, though Fleming was flagging a bit in the second half (as was Honeyman). If we’d kept Campbell, I’d fancy us to do quite well, but I suspect the lack of a quality striker is going to cost us.
I agree. Eaves grafts hard but to date I think he’s managed 1 maybe 2 shots on goal in all the matches he’s played.
Here we go again looking for reasons to be offended, I can understand fans not going because of the cost which I think is ridiculously high. Its the constant abuse from a select few on here towards the fans who still do go that annoys me. Cannot we not 'just support' the team anymore without being labelled by the usual suspects ?
Are you talking about the game in the match day thread ? Bit unusual but ok let's go with it I actually enjoyed yesterday , we should have won though and we didn't , I thought Eaves looked better but I just don't think he's going to score a lot of goals at this level Lopes was a definite upgrade for me and I don't think that's his actual position
Said exactly the same about Campbell on the way out. It was an exciting game, that’s for sure, and I thought we played well in big patches, but got done when we didn’t focus/reorganise properly after De Wijs went off. I feel for Eaves a bit I must say. He was making a lot of runs first half looking for an early ball to be whipped in from either side, but as we know that ball is almost none existent as they both cut in instead. Having said that the chance he got when Bowen put him through he should have taken. I’m not convinced by him at all, but neither do I think we are playing to his strengths or on the flip side that he is the right striker for our style of play. Fleming had a pretty good game until the moments after De Wijs left (was De Wijs giving him more support that Taf did? Or. Was Taf covering slightly different to De Wij? Something went wrong anyway) Either way I preferred him to Kingsley. Da Silva played well too even though he was out of position or not used to it so got beat by early movement until he time to readjust.
There is no abuse on here aimed at those who still go, just abuse of those who don’t go, from people like you.
Hopefully he will be one of those players who is just slow to adjust to a higher grade of football, like Whitehust was several aeons ago. Also seem to remember Shearer played 15 games for England before he scored, and as soon as he did the goals started to flow. But as people keep saying, he is not getting the crosses from the flanks. (Is that what he thrived on at Gillingham?) Can I let go of this straw now please?
I will continue to question the motives of the ;missing fans. Some have been forced on economically, some of very high moral principles won't compromise them and we'll never know how many have just got off the PL bandwagon as it trundles away in the distance. It's a shame people personalise this important issue and make it 'all about them'. It doesn't make for an infomed discussion if people fail to address the general issue and make it personal. Glad to have been of assistance for this important topic.
Also noticed just how bad our corners were yesterday , think there was more chance of the opposition scoring after our corners than us Really though , how difficult is it to beat the first man and put it into a dangerous area ?
