I told you all after Tuesday that Maguire and Wyke could not play together. No one ****ing listened as usual.
If we had kept a clean sheet or scored 1 more we would have been second but it will come in time hopefully! cant remember the last SAFC player to score 3 though, must have been a while ago Just found out! Darren Bent - March 2010 - 4-0 against Bolton. Says a Lot!!!!
Roker Report Ratings: Jon McLaughlin 6/10: Distributed the ball well and barely had a save to make. Luke O’Nien 6/10: At fault for the goal, but contributed well going forward. Jordan Willis 7/10: Dealt well with Wimbledon’s rare forrays forward with relative ease. Alim Ozturk 8/10: Looks a completely different player from the one banished to the reserves last summer. His passing has come on leaps and bounds this season. Denver Hume 6/10: Looked nervy early on, but started to showcase his great dribbling and some improved passing after he settled down. Max Power 5/10: His decision-making and quality in the final third was lacking - Power did get through some important defensive work, but needs to show more passing quality to maintain his place in the team. Grant Leadbitter 7/10: Looked leggy off the ball at times, but once again proved a real asset with his tempo-setting passing. Lynden Gooch 6/10: Was tidy in possession and used the ball more effectively than at Rochdale, but rarely looked threatening in front of goal. Aiden McGeady 7/10: Came to life in the second half, creating problems and helped increase the quality of chances Sunderland were creating. Chris Maguire 9/10: The hattrick hero, scored three very different, but vital goals for the lads. Charlie Wyke 8/10: Battled well and showed great quality whenever Sunderland went direct towards him. (SUB) Will Grigg 5/10: Missed a golden chance to seal the game and looked lethargic in his attempts to retain possession. (SUB) Dylan McGeouch 6/10: Put Sunderland on the back foot with a lazy pass immediately after being brought on, redeemed himself with tireless defensive work afterwards. (SUB) George Dobson - n/a Barely involved in a ten minute cameo. Man of the Match: Chris Maguire Seems harsh on Max Power
****ing enjoyed that. Maguire, Wyke and Ozturk again (have we cloned the ****er?) outstanding. We are a ****ing decent side when we attack teams.
Missed that one, was that in the league? Still 3 years is too long to wait. Hope Hat tricks are like busses... none for ages then loads turn up at the same time P.S. The Guinness is going to taste 3 times as special tonight....
Cracking win today, a slow start with the 2 draws but now finding a winning pattern. I still have to be convinced by our manager but if this continues I’m sure I’ll be on the flying carpet soon
