Exactly. I think the fans are better off saying no, and reform a new club....and let him leave with nothing!
If it gets to midnight and he hasn't completed a deal, then he should lose the quid that he paid for them and get booted out. Let the FA choose a suitable candidate from those bidding, ban him from football for life and publicly denounce him.
The governing bodies somehow with the aid of the Government through legislation, need to prevent stuff like this happening, and legally be able to kick these scrupulous Chairman out.
They also need to do their bloody job properly and fix their Fit and Proper Persons test. Cellino is just a blatant thief and he's got convictions, including for false accounting at Cagliari. How did he pass? How are dictators and oligarchs passing? Why bother having it at all?

The fit n proper rules are a bit of a joke really, the PL changed theirs after Gao bought his 80% stake in us, so they didn't think that he was fit to run a football club but couldn't stop him. Wonderful.
i don't really understand it all, but I expect due to the governing bodies the fit and proper test has no real clout, not in the same way as money laundering checks do for banks. By that I mean banks can be fined Millions for not doing checks properly by governments, whereas the FA, EFL, FIFA they are just greedy tin pot establishments, with clout in football but little much of nothing else outside of it, to govern people outside of the game, which some of these Chairman are really, well distanced from actual football itself.
Precisely the point we've all been making! Who the **** at the football league thought letting this guy buy a troubled club for a quid was a good idea? Tossers.
