The problem with that is imo that people are saying that having teams starting on minus points is ruining the integrity of the league, can you imagine taking a team out and all points accrued against them from other sIdes in March/April? Make that 1/2 teams a season and it soon becomes a shambles. I personally think there should be stricter rules about ownership, you shouldn't be able to pay a quid for a club if you can't demonstrate a plan to guarantee its future in the medium term. Out of interest, how would you feel if your new owner started splashing a lot of cash which you knew was beyond your means? I agree that CVA's aren't a painless exercise but creditors end up accepting them as ultimately something is better than nothing, same as in other business. No idea if they still have the rule about football creditors being paid in full or not? For me the biggest cause of this issue is the Premier League and the money around it. We almost need a big club to go pop before better controls are put in place.
