Brilliant mate, you can get traditional Italian places like that, there will be no menu, you just get served what mama gives you, generally very reasonably priced and only deal in cash.

Italian food came up in conversation last night at the pub.. was described as absolute ****e with it just being tomatoes garlic and dough in some form or another. Made me laugh; and was thinking what @brb response would be.

Yeah I'm not a huge fan. You could say that about Mexican food as well. Fajitas, Burritos, Tacos, Enchiladas basically the same thing in a slightly different wrapping.

Tastes good though and definitely better than Italian food

I like Italian food and it's quite varied when you look into it a bit. They are a bit daft about it though and you can't go adding this or doing it a different way but then they do things differently region by region and contradict themselves. The main problem with Italian food is Italians.

The only bit I really do struggle with Italian food is breakfast, everything else is ok. It's your typical continental breakfast, which will consist of pastries/cakes/tarts whatever you want to call them, basically 'dolce' ie pastisserie. That's ok if you have a sweet tooth and don't mind that sort of stuff, I can stomach it on ocassional days, but not every day. Washed down generally with cappaccino or fresh orange juice (that bit is ok). Unlike alot of other tourist countries, you will be hard pushed to find a cooked breakfast anywhere, I wouldn't mind if somewhere at least did eggs! So by lunchtime I'm fooking starving. By the time I come home, I was smashing a full english for a fair few days.

Naturally if you go on a 'British' catered holiday, then they will make a cooked breakfast of sorts especially for the Brits!

They taste great sitting in a bar on a virtually deserted beach in Mazunte: with a beer, of course <ok>

The roundabout is particularly beautiful. The edge of the dual carriageway sets it off wonderfully.
