Back to the man with the chicken. Apparently, he was actually trying to flog it outside. He asked DJ Phil if he'd hold it while he went for a piss and when he said yes, the bloke said he was a nice bloke and he was going to leave him holding it while he did a runner. Later that day, people were running round the playing fields at the Grange trying to catch said chicken. Later still, my eldest spotted a post on facebook by a woman who'd found a chicken in her garden around 3 miles away from Latchford. It was the same chicken <laugh> Apparently, the RSPCA don't take livestock <laugh> <laugh>

Tbh, the whole board seems dead - we're well into the swing of the season now and there's very little activity on here compared to the past. I can't believe it's all down to mito's absence.

Nope. I've seen him on JA, but it's boring as ****ing sin on there. If anyone has his contact details and can get in touch, ask him to PM me please. It's much quieter than it used to be, but not the ghost town that the scum board has become.

I'm sure he'll come back if and when he wants to.
 
I don't think he's coming back, at least not any time soon. I wasn't around for whatever was the straw that broke the camel's back, only saw it referenced later... However, this place can be like a Chinese water drip torture at times.

I think we all need to be careful in our jokes and criticisms at times (me included). What can be a benign joke can become a festering sore if overplayed too often. I don't think it was one comment that offended I suspet it was the constant drip-drip-drip of the not 606 Chinese water torture.
 
Cheese closes next Monday and reopens the Saturday after. New tenant. Guy who works behind the bar. He's a good lad who loves his cricket. We'll have to see how he shapes up when all the barred knobheads start coming back <yikes>
