Not condoning such behavior at all, but they could just stop using social media or at least have a low profile account to communicate with friends/family -or is their public adoration and showing off a millionaire lifestyle so important to them?

Have just been speaking to a Norwich fan who told me that their starting 11 against Newcastle cost less than £1m. Am not sure if true they’re now my 2nd favourite team in the league. I hope they survive with ease.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reportedly selected Marcus Rashford as Manchester United's permanent penalty taker. The decision comes after Paul Pogba missed from the spot in Monday night's 1-1 draw with Wolves . The French midfielder grabbed the penalty after being felled at Molineux but saw his spotkick saved by Rui Patricio.
Anyone seen Barnes being interviewed on Sky about the racist trolling on social media? I am increasingly worried about him. He looked really unhealthy and overweight. Why was he still in bed so late in the morning?
I didn't see it, but he's been putting on weight steadily for years. I suppose he has the metabolism that's prone to that when you stop running around a lot. Also, if what Dribs says is true, that might be enough to tip him into a temporary depression, which will only make it worse. Just hope he has people around him who care enough to help him through it, if that is the case.
I don't understand why he feels under pressure to give an interview. It makes his private matter whatever it may be public and increases speculation about him. Why not wait until he's in a better frame of mind. He surely didn't need to give an interview in his bed for a topic like that until he's got out of bed and changed.
Not many ex footballers from the 80’s and early 90’s are fighting fit. On the Italian 90 show he got a nasty injury I believe so sure that’s not helped
Its the difference between now and then. Today's players are educated on health, fitness and nutrition. Most know (in some manner) how to look after themselves post-career, they can also afford personal trainers etc in retirement. 70s, 80s and early 90s players trained, did a bit in the gym and played and that was about it. Once that all stops, life, drinking, smoking and eating **** food catches up with you.
