**** me alan Smith is a cockwomble of the highest order Ref let that go apparently Player did nothing wrong WTf was he letting go !
I can only speak for myself but I understand what you mean. They move the ball quicker without Hazard, undoubtedly, they'll move defences around a lot more with their attacking players preferring to take less touches. I don't think anyone disagrees with that its just that I don't think moving the ball quicker automatically makes you a better team.
But surely if they start popping goals in from everywhere it has to be healthier than reliance on a singular individual. Bit like us with Suarez (ish)
Oh yeah, definitely, but they don't have the quality of player to start popping goals in from everywhere. It's not Lampard's fault with the transfer ban and the poor squad built over the years at Chelsea but there simply aren't enough good players in the team to start doing that. We went to complete **** without Suarez, though. We went from 2nd to 8th.
Gonna see how it goes Looking forward to the post match analysis of the game Neville looks ready to explode Could be funny Good game to be fair It’s defo dangerous this year as are wolves Tbf Not claiming either going to win the league (stranger things have happened) but but have looked good in preseason and early stages of league
Huh? I think that us not signing players is a mistake. Personally, I think that Chelsea’s inability to sign players as well as losing their best player will cost them a CL place. Am not sure what your point is? 18/19 arrivals includes a world record transfer for a keeper, Jorginho, Pulisic (although just arrived) and a £9m Loan for higuain.....that’s not a small investment that lot. The season before saw more players brought in at a high cost - although no mega signing. So I totally disagree that they haven’t invested. As for Lampard. You can not compare him with anyone as he doesn’t have one of the world’s best players at his disposal. If we took Salah or Mane out and didn’t replace then there’s no doubt we’d suffer.
#bbcsalford are worse than ever They couldn't stop talking about how amazing Maguire is. Surprise surprise Man Ud drop points. Meanwhile our games are a constant discussion of our defensive frailty. Then we win. It's like McCunty has told everyone their number one priority is to make Maguire's world record fee seem justifiable. "I think Harry Maguire is an outstanding buy for United... What United need is stability at the back and they have that in Maguire, who is England's best centre-half... The free-kick, 35 yards out, is floated into the box and finds the head of Harry Maguire, who is well positioned to clear the danger... England manager Gareth Southgate is among the crowd at Molineux to check up on Harry Maguire... So comfortable at the back Maguire and Wan-Bissaka have settled in brilliantly... Maguire has that calmness and presence - he looks like a leader... United absolutely the dominant team. They have been water-tight at the back and thoroighly deserve their 1-0 lead..." Then Maguire gives away a free kick. The free kick leads to a corner. They score from the corner. And he tried to give them the winner with a crap backpass to De Gea. Well done.
It does if it means you have all eleven players working for each other without carrying a passenger defensively. Obviously, end results are what matter. I don't think Chelsea will better last season, I'll think they'll regress. But I think they would have regressed had Hazard started too.
