Eriksen 'turns down new deal' Christian Eriksen has reportedly turned down a new deal with Spurs. The club are said to be “baffled” by the midfielder’s decision after offering the playmaker a contract worth over £200,000-per-week, according to the Mirror. Despite Real Madrid and Juventus being keen on the 27-year-old, Spurs are said to have had no offers for him yet with just over two weeks remaining of the transfer window.
Why are they 'baffled', Spurs haven't won anything since 2008 (LC), clearly he's looking at the rest of his career and thinks he won't win much, if anything, with Spuds. He's waiting for someone to swoop in for him or just run his contract down and have the pick of European clubs next summer.
Liverpool are set to pocket some extra money as Philippe Coutinho closes in on a transfer. The ex-Liverpool midfielder will join Bayern Munich on loan from Barcelona and Liverpool could receive as much as €20m (over £18m), according to Spanish media outlet Sport.
Mauricio Pochettino says moving Premier League transfer window deadline was a 'massive mistake' "[Daniel Levy] and a lot of people now realise it was a massive mistake", says Spurs boss https://www.skysports.com/football/...ransfer-window-deadline-was-a-massive-mistake
I agree with him. Moving the window with no other European leagues doing the same was a ridiculous idea.
i suspect the "deal" is already done & in Jan he will be signing a pre-contract agreement with one of the big(gish) Euro teams.
Tbh this is only ridiculous cause it basically affects our top clubs. I prefer it this way than having all the little clubs get ****ed over.
Vorm Linked Liverpool goalkeeping coach John Achterberg has reportedly confirmed the club have considered signing Michel Vorm. The Dutch stopper is out of contract after leaving Tottenham Hotspur during the summer. “A good third goalie at a top club is not a superfluous luxury, I have always said this,” Achterberg toldNOS. “Michel Vorm’s arrival has been discussed.” please log in to view this image
I have a horrible feeling that Alisson might be out for longer than is initially being communicated. Doing this makes sense if that’s the case!

Barca tried to financially swindle LFC in Coutinho loan, but Reds were having none of it – Journalist Liverpool were smart to reject Barcelona’s offer of Coutinho on loan, due to the finances involved. At first, the Catalans really wanted to offload the Brazilian to a Premier League club, purely because English sides are richer than most across Europe now due to our TV deals – but once our window closed – Barca recalibrated their asking price and did business with Bayern Munich at a much lower price than they wanted Liverpool to pay… Mirror journalist David Maddock has explained Jurgen Klopp’s thoughts on the transfer, and also how Barca wanted Liverpool to pay more than £40m in a loan-fee and the player’s wages in order to keep him at Anfield for just one season…
