Basso is better than Duke and there's no way ***an would get in the current team, so there would be little point in him being here. ***an had trials at Cardiff, Palace, Birmingham and Wallsall, but none of them offered him a deal, maybe they are all clueless, or maybe they have an aversion to players signed previously by Phil Brown, but I suspect they just didn't think he was worth a deal. Give it a month and go on the Bradford board, I bet they tell you he picks up too many daft cards and is nowhere near as good as Jamie Devitt.
I think Duke is on par with Basso. Was'nt it Peter Taylor who initially signed ***an? So Taylor must have been wrong to do so as well? I think he will be a big hit at Bradford. He gives 110% and fans like to see players like ***an and Ashbee who stick the boot in. I know I do. Let the opposition know they're there.
What's Peter Taylor got to do with anything? Would you like Jamie Forrester, Jason Price, Stuart Green, Aaron Wilbraham, Roland Edge, Delroy Facey and Michael Keane to all still be here too?
***an's at his level in this league, he's a nasty little ****er with no skill. He blew it fir me giving city fans the finger after being subbed at an away game. Think it was Stoke? Good riddens to bad rubbish
OLM, Not sure there is any need really. I am not comparing current players with past players. My point is that ***an is not a Has-Been quite yet. Those you name left YEARS ago. The reason I mentioned Taylor was because you suggested the clubs where ***an went on trial may not have been keen to take on any of Brown's old players but it was Taylor who signed him in the first place. Others managers as well as Brown have seen a player in ***an. He can still perform in the CCC.
Thats why we should have kept him. He has BITE, GRIT and DETERMINATION in abdundance. I seem to remember a certain Anthony Gerrard giving the fans of the East stand at the KC the EAGLE last season yet many want him back at the club.
well well, ***an was a great servant to the tigers for a while, scored nice goals, always gives 110% and you know you are up for a fight when you play against him- never forget the way he tore Bradford apart at their place but time has moved on, styles are different, he lost his edge and would not make it at city these days. Just a fact of life but there is no reason to mock him, he has been one of my favorite players for his energy and attribution, time that other highly paid so called pro's with more ability put similar shifts in as he always does- so hope he has a great time there... and helps to install that fighting grit into Jamie Devitt- who actually has all the talent one needs
- why are peeps so negative on here? Only joined a short while ago but can't see the point... Lambretta, always rated your posts but there is no need to let standards slip that much.... There is all types of players and for how many home games of late have I wondered why we don't have a 'nasty xxx' in the team as our nice and friendly youth lot permanently got bullied to a 0:1 home defeat- Craig had his role and he did well, so did others, Ashbee etc- just because they have left the tigers they do not over night run into xxxx but this is the past- better to talk about how to beat pompey and save all energy for that- we will need it.
Well if people cannot see what he helped us achieve instead of calling the player, shame on you. Had it not been for ***an, who played a massive part in our promotions, we would not have had as much success. He was a superb character, the type that is needed in ANY team. We have too many softies in our side at the moment. EVERY TEAM NEEDS NASTY LITTLE S****S The opposition hate playing against this type of player. ***an often rubbed up the oppositions the wrong way which in term would provoke a reaction that would give the crowd a huge lift create the type of atmosphere we are missing at the KC. Again I must be so wrong though. Oh Well.
What a superb and refreshing post. Just when I thought I was losing the will to live somebody finally sees sense. Hallelujah !!!
It's personal, I've met him and he's was an obnoxious little twat, so I'm glad to see the back of him and I'm glad he's in League Two.
Fair enough but some of us have not had the pleasures of meeting him. I think ***an been obnoxious is exactly how he played on the pitch, which was one of his positives. A lot did not to play against him. He was a wind up merchant which I found entertaining. As baltictiger states, I dont feel you should make it personal towards us lot on here.
Personally loved Craig ***an back in his prime! When he used to wear the number 27 shirt, he was the new Ronaldo of the Championship. He will alwasy but 110% into each game he played in, he was there to rough up defenders and make them panic, and that what he did best. He got plenty of cards yes, but so what so does Kevin Davies! He could of been the one that kept us in the premier league when he scored in a 1-0 win over Bolton, when he made ****tu panic and then put the ball away. Will always be a Tiger, good luck to him!
I don't think you have either. He can have his opinions, right? as does everyone, this is what forums are for. No doubt ***an was a quality player for Hull City over the years, but there's no need for him now in our new squad as every one bar Adebola is better then him!
Koren has been flat this season, I would say that, but he is captain of his national team and has maybe four times the skill of ***an and three times the football intelligence.
There's quite a lot of bollocks posted on this thread, THETIGERSHULL seems to be a bit obsessed with bringing the likes of McKenna and Adebola into everything and reminding us all of how ****e they are, whilst bemoaning the lack of support for our players inside the stadium At first I thought it was a mistake getting rid of ***an, because we needed so many new players and getting rid of him while Garcia was injured just added to the shopping list. BUt we've bought well and Koren and Brady are doing fine, with Stewart and Garcia yet to come back so we look OK on the wgins now, good call Nige.
