I've had Acupuncture now and then for the past 40-odd years. My first experience was for a prolapsed disc in my back for which I eventually had to have surgery. Acupuncture eased the pain immensely and occasionally I aggravated my injury and had acupuncture to ease the pain. My wife suffered from migraine's and I happened to mention this to my Acupuncturist and he suggested I sent her in. She had acupuncture even though she is petrified of needles and after one session she hasn't suffered since (30 years ago). I had pacemaker inserted and suffered badly from side effects (depression, anxiety and panic attacks - which is not uncommon after this operation) and when I had acupuncture they couldn't use the 'electrodes' as it would effect my pacemaker so I had the old conventional treatment. My stress levels went to almost zero directly after the session but I had a fear that they may come back so I had one session of Hypnotherapy which wiped the fear away and I have been clear for over a year now - lovely feeling believe me. I have recommended this treatment to a number of people and ALL have had positive results and have no need for pills at all now. Remember, you could be in that tiny 3% for which it doesn't work but you would have to be terribly unlucky with having a very deep-rooted problem which you may have been suffering for many years.
You really want to push this don't you, Jim. That's what I meant in my previous post. You've already told us a hundred times and you seem to be banging a drum. Please try to respect what others have posted on here. Trust me, we're all different and some things will work for some people and not for others. That statistic you used, it won't work for 3%? Where on earth have you seen/heard that? I'm sorry mate, but that's utter utter bollocks.
Obviously my reading of your posts is wrong, but they came across to me that you had your first acupuncture session to treat your depression, but see in your recent post that it was a prolapsed disk you originally started acupuncture with.
I really don't understand your caustic comments Kempton. People are in trouble and I am simply trying to help by quoting my own experiences. I don't know if you have suffered from depression but if you haven't I can tell you that it is frightening. You want to top yourself to get away from it. Should you wish you can have a read of the following: https://synergyhypnotherapymelbourne.com.au/ There are many, many other examples from all over the World but if you prefer living with the pill treatment that's fine. I wish you well.
"97% Success Rate in First Session" From the https://synergyhypnotherapymelbourne.com.au/ I gave you above Chazz.
Not gonna lie Jim, at this point it sounds like you work for some acupuncture or hypnotherapy clinic. I get that you're trying to help, but you're being preachy as **** and just dismissing those who don't want to use those treatments for various reasons. Just respect what other people want to do and stop acting so high and mighty over them.
I think this has been a worthwhile and hopefully useful thread, and the spirit of it should be maintained, please bear this in mind if you want to continue posting on it.
it's an advertisement Jim, some things on the internet are not true, some people take pills because they have to, its not a preference, life is hard for some and some problems in peoples lifes can't be fixed, it's just not possible.
