Keep saying that all season and you'll be right eventually.

Didn't expect anything out of this game but disappointed in the end that we didn't get the point. Still far too toothless in attack and inatentive at the back unfortunately. would have been good to cause them some trouble in the first half. Adams did everything but score and I like the cut of his jib. Good subs from Ralph changed the end of the second half and Ings was good, just not good enough when needed. Never enjoy watching us against Liverpool and this was no exception.

Didn't get to watch much of the game but by a quick look around here I'm going to assume we didn't do too badly, bit less of a 12 Monkeys asylum vibe to the place.

Don't think so. They played a massive game just a couple of days ago, had 40minutes of practice in the lead up, traveled to the farthest away match against a difficult side and got three points. They'll do very well again this season.

Created enough to win a couple games. Absolutely gutted not to take a point off them, opportunity missed.

Just watched the highlights. Was refereeing this afternoon so missed the game. My opinion is had we gone in at HT level (which we should have at least done) we would have got something out of that. Some really gilt-edged chances missed. Top save from Gunn from Robertson though. Play like that on a regular basis and we'll be more than fine.

No chance. They’d be snapped up by a top 6 side. Have you learned nothing.

Probably, but if we're being honest, we perhaps should have made CL when we did have them. We had our chance, but we were a couple players short of taking it.

I feel like this should be etched in marble on the side of the stadium.

Who are close to the bottom of La Liga. Even newly promoted Real Mallorca are above Barcelona so perhaps Ralph should forget looking at Barca players and turn his attention to the Baleares.

I got my performance. I got the goal I wanted. Mustn’t grumble.
Wish we still had VVD and Mané.
Decent first trip to St Marys this season.

And I am not going to feed trolls on here, advise others to behave likewise.

Ralph inherited a pile of crap! You cannot polish a turd but you can stop it running so much. The new signings look promising, Adams holds the ball very well, dinjenepo whatever his name is looks sharp but i hope he got a right rollicking for his theatrics that cost us valuable minutes! Gunn looking good, bernadek looking good, redders still no footballing brain, vallery lost the plot, vestergaard still has lead feet, yoshi still ooops yoshi. Jwp had his little spin and go sussed out, ings not looking sharp, romeu great, captain scrapping as always. Defence caught ball watching as always. Attack not on the same wavelength yet. Disappointed we didn't get anything from the game as we had our opportunity, but never expected a sniff! Liverpool were crap first half but we did stop them from getting going..... No excuses for typos and bad grammar! 10 pints and a few little ones. Roll on Brighton, 3 points or it's looking very familiar! Good night

forgot to add how great it was to see Lallana at St Mary's again, keeping the bench seats nice toasty and not kicking a ball. Great career hes built.

I’m presuming Lincoln Saint is a Pompey fan or a troll, so not going to react to that.

Liverpool friend of mine that goes to all their games was very impressed with us. His only other comment was “your very tall centre back takes forever to turn round”...

Because I don't think Ralph is the messiah and that we're going to have another poor season, I'm trolling?

****ing hell, I've really played the long game given I was on the original 606 under this username and on this one a fair while.

It's the Karaoke bar, isn't it? I watched the Joshua fight in there in May of 2017, I remember. How are the cats? We had a ground floor room last time, and this particular one came round at all hours for milk. Crazy, crazy time, as they are wont to say there.

Btw - the women in the dance and review act - stunning. Make me feel a right old perv, or a Saxton, as the current expression has it.

Ings not looking sharp? Thought he did more in 20 mins than Adams did in 70. Almost scored with a 25 yard screamer within a minute of coming on, forced the keeper into giving us a goal, and his positioning for the miss was spot on. Yeah it was a bad miss, but all strikers are guilty of that from time to time (see Firmino a few moments earlier).

My first visit to St Marys as a season ticket holder since 2003!
    Main thoughts-

I was not seduced by the offer of half/half or Van Dick scarfs on sale, the city precinct seller being particularly persistant, I really must look like a mug.
The hip-hop belching chap there was also a talent free zone, though funny for around 20 secs, if you like belching.
I also dodged the Fan Containment Zone outside the stadium which was set up to punish those guilty of some unspeakable crimes.

I enjoyed most of the match. We competed for 75% of the game and were the better team for most of the first half.
    We should've scored 2 or 3 before Mane's contribution.
Adams does not look out of place in the prem.
Vestergaard is a slow thinking footballer and has considerable inertia once moving, especially away from the ball.
    Ings, hero to zero.
I hate the number of overtly Liverpool supporters in the 'home' sections, not even the grace to hide it.
I tolerate small children with small attention spans better than alcohol fueled men with small bladders.

I was not too downhearted however, more bloody annoyed at the capitulation last week tbh.

A small point. I was searched 3 times.
My season ticket says turnstiles C which I knew was wrong. I was refused entry (though searched) at B stiles, directed through C stiles which have no way to access Block 12. Escaping from the ground took some effort "you need a steward wiv an earpiece mate". Only to be searched again (twice 'cos one of the buggers missed his mate doing it) and pushed through C stiles as they insisted that was my only entry.
Only after some footstamping and a refusal to be searched yet again did a god "wiv an earpiece" escort me along the disabled sections pitchside so I could access section 12.

As the mistaken stile access is printed on the bloody card I may enjoy such merry japes many times this year.
