Haven't seen the match but sounds like we got a reaction and that's all I really wanted after last week. Delighted we got off the mark goal wise too.
Exactly. We can't expect the defence to be watertight every game. You have to approach a game of football expecting to lose a goal, and thus aim to score two. Anyway, in basic terms; if a defensive error leads to a 1-0 loss, you lose one point. But if an attacking error leads to a 0-0 draw, then that's two points lost.
Played very well until Liverpool scored then got all nervous and mistakes crept in. But yeah didn't give up and deserved the goal. It's a shame our cbs seem to switch off their brains for 1 second every game and that causes a goal.
I am a bit torn on this. We played very well but shot ourselves in the foot in attack and defence again. If we don't fix these errors it could be a very long slog...
Defensive mistakes, bad finishing, and and some dodgy ref decisions, but an improvement none the less.
You're right. Not having a league win in 7 is absolutely fine. Defenders making the same mistakes again and again isn't a problem. Having a poor transfer window is tickety-boo. Nothing to worry about at all.
The Firmino miss was equally bad. Fair result let's be honest. Djenepo is gonna be fun. He's a definite wild card. Even Mane was looking at him like, 'what the **** is up with this guy's diving?'
Was better today and we were playing the Champion League winners with a depth of talent. Now we need to do it against the like of Brighton, Villa, Norwich and give the likes of Leicester, Everton Wolves a test and maybe pinch a result here and there against the so called top 6 , but it has to be consistent and the chances will get taken, EVENTUALLY, and that is the big but. Not sure how to fix the defensive errors just mind boggling how we can just do it every game.
Very encouraging performance, just need to cut out the brain farts! Yeah Liverpool wernt at their best, but Saints unlucky not to grab a point.
