I went to the game in the late 90s at Adams Park
    Lost 1-0 to a penalty I think
It was chaos getting in & they had to delay the kick off

One thing to mention: in our last 27 first halves, we haven't scored in 22 of them

It's all well and good wearing opponents down to the point we can pick them off in the last ten minutes, but imagine if we're wearing them down to pick them off while having a half-time lead?

Strangely, now that you can buy pretty much anything, there's no delays and plenty of spare tickets...

Away tickets are like hens teeth and vast majority of home games sell out but the club sells tickets to agencies who can’t shift the tickets as all the tourists still flock to the Salford swamp hence the ridiculous amount of empty seats

I saw them at Priestfield too and at the play off final where that idiot Halsey decided to play until City equalised - he didn't get a given a match at Priestfield until about 10 seasons later - But The Gills fans never forgot he got a fabulous reception that night!

To be fair, away tickets are limited to 3,000. Failing to sell that many would be ridiculous.

As for home tickets, most major clubs try to exploit the tourist market. We certainly do and the unsold ones are on the club's website in the 24/48 hours before the match and they sell.

The fact that, at City, there's so many unsold to the tourist market and then subsequently to 'real fans', when they try to shift them late on, says that there's something wrong 'at mill'.

Your prices are similar to those at West Ham, with both clubs giving the impression of a stadium that's too large for their true, natural level of support, despite, in your case, unlimited spending and guaranteed success. At least, West Ham have the issue of dire football and enduring poor results.

Their U23s are currently kicking lumps out of ours, with Troy Parrott and Tariq Hinds both being subbed with knocks

In response, Poch has put Lamela on a special diet of raw meat and Special Brew ahead of tomorrow's match...

Not being in London and sharing the city with one of the worlds biggest clubs hasn’t helped with the tourist trap

You need to target the convention doing a tour of all the Full Members Cup finalists

No, but it doesn't really make any discernible difference to your owners. Money's not really a concern for them. They're paying to sponsor themselves and underwriting all manner of expenditure through non-earned income and via related businesses.

A few thousand unsold tickets and additional no-shows is irrelevant, unlike with most other clubs, working to what they can earn. If you gave away all your tickets for free, I doubt that it would materially affect your owners' spending.

Need to take something from today's game.

Can't drop 12 points to the 2 teams above us if we are serious about chasing them.

Plus the psychological impact if we get something could be immense just like the doubts of being worthy enough to challenge might creep in if we once again come back empty handed

Here's hoping Poch is on it tactically and with the team selection today.

A week ago Harvey Elliott found out that mouthing off about Harry Kane had consequences, with him getting bodychecked more than once in our 4-0 win

I think the first team should return the favour for The Sheikh Mansour Team U23s kicking Troy Parrott off the pitch in our 3-1 win last night...

Think the home ties will be more telling mate.

Losing to the top sides away from home isn’t a huge indicator but the home games are where you have to pick up your points.

Last season at home, Pool, City and Utd beat us whilst Arsenal took a point. West Ham and Wolves also beat us with Everton taking a point too. That’s a combined 19 points dropped at home. Win those and that gap to City/ Pool is massively reduced.

I just don't think we can think that way that anything away at City or Pool is a bonus. They are the two teams above us...the head to heads are very important for the purpose of belief in the long haul of 38 games.

It is somewhat a bonus though because top six sides are expected to win home games. We didn’t do that enough last season and it’s what cost us massively, like I said if we didn’t drop those 19 points at home we’d have been breathing down their necks.

I think it’s quite unrealistic to expect Spurs to do the double/ take four points off of these calibre teams.

What needs to be done is improve our home form and then do better in games away at the likes of Watford/ Burnley/ Bournemouth/ Southampton, that’s what really matters more so than beating one of the best on their own patch.
