    Team news:

Saints: Radhi Jaidi (Knee) and Lee Barnard (Ankle) are still sidelined. Dan Harding and Frazer Richardson are expected to return at full-back, with Jack Cork back in CM with captain Dean Hammond. Jos Hooiveld will continue at CB alongside Jose Fonte.

Birmingham: Striker Marlon King returned against Braga in the Europa League on Thursday. Chris Burke may start after impressing against the Portuguese outfit, setting up King's goal to make the score 2-1 at the time. A 4-4-2 formation should return too, with Millwall hat-trick hero Chris Wood a used substitute on Thursday evening and will most likely start against the Saints. Nikola Zigic could make the bench although is still a doubt, as are Jordan Mutch and Morgaro Gomis who all missed the Braga game.

    Last Result:

Saints: 3-2 win Vs Nottm Forest (H)

Birmingham: 3-1 loss Vs Braga (Europa League) (H), 3-0 win Vs Millwall (League)

    Predicted Saints team:

    -------------------------------------Davis-----------------------------------------

    ---Richardson---------------Fonte-------------Hooiveld-----------------Harding----

    ---Guly--------------------Hammond----------Cork--------------------Lallana------

    -----------------------------Lambert---------Connolly-----------------------------

Subs: Bart, Martin, Schneiderlin, Fox, De Ridder.

Prediction: Saints 1-0 Birmingham. Another narrow home win. Was tempted to go for the draw but I'll be positive. Lallana with the only goal after 17 minutes. I just hope the Europa League game tonight (Thursday) has taken it's toll on some of their best players, although Chris Wood and Chris Burke both played only half an hour. We're going have to work hard for this and would be a fantastic 3 points.

Over the years I have seen us play better against the 'bigger' teams.

3 points on Sunday would really start to show how underrated we are <ok>

Got the scoreline right against Lesta and Rickie's hat trick against Forest, so I'll keep trying. 2-1 Saints, two goals before half by Lallana and Connolly, Birmingham carries play after the break but cannot equalize.

Hope that Birmingham will be savoring their best players for the impending cup tie with Manchester City on Wednesday. That'd be reassuring.

Why predict the goal to be scored in the 17th minute? You just make yourself look like a complete goon. Oh, wait....

Tougher game for Saints.... But going to go 2-1 win and just to keep On The Bus happy, I'll say goals in the 14th, 56th and 65th minutes.

    A Goon.

Birmingham have lost every away game so far this season. Not sure if that's good or bad for us, but I'll be disappointed if we don't win on sunday.

I'm gonna go for 0-2 to the Saints. Wasn't very impressed by Birmingham against Braga last night. I think we'll have the measure of them. Lallana and Lambert to score :)

Tough one. Don't think Birmingham will save players for Cup game..they know how important points are even this early in the season..but we can always hope. I predict a narrow Saints win, but could be a draw.

Middlesborough, Birmingham and West Ham haven't played the mighty Saints yet. They'll be using us as a measure of how they've progressed:grin:

Like most teams relegated from the Premiership, they have lost most of their good players. I don't see them being much of a challenge this season, so I am going for another Saints win.

Playing in the Euro Paint Pot alone would hamper their chances. Losing to Braga will only knock their cofidence....

    Solid win for Saints <ok>

2 games in 4 days for them. And Braga gave them the run around last night from what I saw, so they are not going to be fully recovered by Sunday. And there away form has been poor so far this season. I'm expecting a comfortable win for saints.

I'm going to say 1-1, but I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if we nicked it 2-1.
