He was at the turnstile with us last night, had a quick chat, wished him well. He seemed a decent lad. Roughing it, in with the riff raff & us.
I never recognised him, it was the lad as we approached the turnstile. He had a ticket but I don't know if it was complimentary. He sat with the fans & once spotted happily gave a wave, when asked. Good to see. I do enjoy visiting the so called smaller clubs rather the the big ones. I was speaking to a lad today who lives near to their ground, has no interest in football (he cage fights for a hobby - (Wreck it Ralph, we call him when he's out of earshot) but says they're a good community club who do a lot of work with the LGBT & BAME communities along with striving for making up the coaching staff from ex-players. A club working with the community - there's an idea.
Whether he gets back playing with us or not, I wish him a full recovery and that he can continue his playing career.
Wish him well, however as Terry has now got 4 other centre backs at his disposal, he'll have to really perform over the next 3-4 months, otherwise I fear its out on loan in January to regain match fitness.
Exactly, that is why I said whether that is with us or somewhere else, I wish him well. As you say, he will really have to impress to get back in first-team reconning or we suffer a lot of injuries to centre backs.
Good luck he needs some. Can’t say I was impressed when he did play but don’t know if he wasn’t right even then.
