I listen to deadmau5 if i'm at the gym because a lot of his songs have good rhythm and are very long normally lasting about 9 mins so i keep going for longer

He didn't do that when I saw them in Belfast which was good. Pity his voice isn't what it used to be as well.

  3. I know you guys aren't death metal fans, but can you at least appreciate the feeling in this song?

There's a piano build up and the song begins.

Give it a couple of minutes. I don't particularly like the vocals but the instrumental work in this is amazing -

I understand this but I disagree. What about music that is painstakingly crafted in layers digitally and not performed with musical instruments at all? If it displays compositional and experimental talent and simply can not be performed live to the same standard it should'nt mean that the creator isn't a true artist.

    I agree on Singing/Instrumentation though.

Haha I remember that band from when I was a little kid. Nuno was every bit the long haired 80s guitar hero wasn't he?

To me SamLovesLeeds dance/trance is just computerised nonsense, I've never been impressed with someone's ability to manipulate manufactured sounds to a repetitive beat. I've listened to a fair amount of it, nowhere near as much as other genres, but I'm yet to be convinced that it's really music.

  12. I can't stop the connection between me and this song, when the guitar comes in i start thinking about old memories like when when i was a kid and my old house and stuff like that :')

Music is about memories Tash. Some of the stuff I still listen to now I do so because it reminds me of a certain time in my life, not because I think it's superb technically.

I'm the same with that song. I think it reminds most people of when they were younger and that is why it was so popular.

Could you not just play another type of music on a constant loop then, and slowly turn the volume up....?
