I like listening to it at the gym. Everyone else with their high tempo dance music, and me with some smooth jazz.

  3. I agree but can you really see a decent solo fitting in with a slayer song?

I don't give a **** about solos when it comes to bands like Slayer and CC. The riffs are the main reason i listen to them. Hell Awaits has such an awesome feeling to it.

Have you ever seen it performed live? It is awesome. I prefer Whitesnake's earliest bluesy stuff but the last two albums have been really good in my opinion.

I can listen to any genre bar dance/trance which to me isn't music. Proper R&B (and I do mean proper) is superb, and folk music is a brilliant combination of poignant lyrics and superb, lively instrumentals. For anyone who thinks folk music is just for old people I would strongly disagree.

  7. I don't care about technicality too much, but i'd like to hear bands test themselves at times when it comes to writing riffs or basically using their instruments.

I'm not one of these stupid technical death metal fanboys that thinks every riff needs to be an arpeggio and songs with less than 15000 notes in are gay.

Strange choice for a gym session, I usually go with a selection of rock/metal songs with a good tempo.

I love slayer riffs, i'm primarily a rhythm guitarist, but just once i'd like to see a bit of invention in a slayer solo.

Also Paramore just for Hayley Williams, their music is average but just her fitness makes it worth while!

My guilty pleasue is Florence and the machines, is it wrong that I find her really attractive??

I like a band/artist who puts on a great show. ACDC put on the best show I have ever been to when they played at Punchestown 2 years ago

i find it slows me down, so i don't overdo it. You get more exercise done if you don't have to have an injury break.

I find that if I don't listen to something with a good rhythm to it I can't keep going

For me the test of any true artist is if they can do the business live. No help, just live.

My problem with Whitesnake live was David Coverdale screeching "'ere's a song for ya!" before every ****ing song. It absolutely did my tits in and spoilt it a bit for me.

bloody hell, they are technical.Pretty good, might check them out. But the problem you've highlighted is why i don't listen to modern music. Fan boys. All the trendy's go and ruin any potentially decent band that come along.

I agree. Anyone can record a song and touch it up to remove the imperfections but a true artist is better live than in a recording studio
