what about when it puts national security at risk? they release thousands of documents with names of joe public on with no thought or considerings of the repercussions..just as long as they make headline news

The footage released with the apache copter letting rip on the journalists was brilliant....... I would pay for a War channel on SKY where all these state sponsored murders were broadcast........

National Security is a term that governments hide behind when there is an issue that they know would harm their reputation with the public. Elected officials need to be more transparent and Wikileaks was helping make that happen.

and this so called "champion of truth and justice" is apparently so morally sound, he goes into hiding to avoid answering criminal charges against him.

Probably because he knew rightly they were bullshit (it has been the most farcical rape case in history) and they were a ploy to have him put into the hands of a very U.S. friendly government. He will probably be renditioned out of there and it would not surprise me if he spends the rest of his days in the same solitary confinement situation as Bradley Manning

Speaking of dodgy rape cases, what about Dominique strauss-Khan, former head of the IMF, and who was running for french presidency? Anything weird there?

when i first heard about this case, i was suprised that a man in his position would do something as daft as this, but when i heard that he was a likely candidate for the french presidency, i got a bit suspicious of it all. It was just too easy, and made him look like a prat. I'm no believer in conspiracy theories, but i think Sarkozy put the maid up to it.
