Yes. I sit in the quieter end of the lower West, not very far from the closed block in that stand. When I first bought my seat there back in 2007 it was still well populated (we had only just come down from the Premiership). Must confess I've got used to having a bit of space around, which means I can hop a few seats closer to the halfway line and nobody minds. But if the area fills out a bit again I won't mind.
There were some well-known faces back in situ, S/T's and all. At one point a group of 3 or 4 lads behind me started up a Roland Out chant, which got completely ignored. Could it be that our owner is eying up the Premier League? Turning down a £4m bid for a player on the manager's advice is strange otherwise. If this is the case he'll tie Taylor up on an improved contract, otherwise he'll sell him in January.
I am going to concentrate my energies on supporting the team. I don't think we will now be bought for the foreseeable future.
It doesn't have the feel of Douchatelet's dead hand any more the way it used to. Not saying that couldn't change, but it just feels like watching Charlton. If you compare it to the times when SCP came in and had to tell the players to celebrate when they scored, it's much better.
