That was about the only thing that went right ffs. Took ages to get out of Burnley but from joining M65 to leaving M3 was only 3 hour 45 minutes. Weather was ****ing ****e past Stoke though, grim as ****.

It's lucky I love Saints as I really do ****ing hate my football club sometimes.

Meh, nothing's decided on the opening day and we weren't battered for the whole match. More than matched them before the goal and was putting pressure on when Vestergaard ****ed up n Gunn let their first shot on target through his legs <doh>

The collapse after that was familiarly depressing though and I have no idea why Yoshida was on the bench. Hopefully this Danso kid is good.

Think we know we'll concede goals but didn't have too many issues scoring them under Ralph last season and we've got 3 extra attackers now so I'm sure we'll be alright.

But yeah ****ing hard one to take that.
 
My mate elbowed me square in the temple when Kane got our second. Fun times.

Club paid a nice tribute to Justin Edinburgh at HT.

Strange game for us in the end. Poch made some dumb selection decisions (dropping our best CB and benching our best player...) but ultimately got the job done in the end.

Took 65 mins for the Spurs fans who’ve been saying they wouldn’t be arsed if Eriksen left suddenly change their minds.

Turns an 80ish quid trip into a 200+ one and also takes your Sunday away.

It is a bit far for a day n back really but I can't make any other new grounds until December so wanted to get it done.

The fact it was a bad result makes it much worse!

Not overly committed tbh cos I pick n choose my games but prefer going away.

I'm hoping for a lower league side away in League cup, well if we don't get them filthy ****s anyway ;)

I was referring to libby presumably saying burnley were dirty ****ers with snide fouls and being extra physical. Its something they can get away with even more in the championship

I think you might be surprised by the standard of football in the Championship. It’s not all hoof ball and bone crunching late challenges, far from it.

The biggest difference from the PL is that the latter is so much faster, players get virtually no time on the ball at all. This is offset by the fact that there are no fire cannons, far fewer massive egos among the players, and a lot more genuine passion among supporters.

There’s a lot of dross in the championship too. The refs we get are those considered worse than Lee Mason et al.

****ing Huddersfield were a Prem team (kind of) last season. ****ing hell. Trendy German manager and they were basically Stoke circa 2006.
