WikiLeaks publishes full cache of unredacted cables "WikiLeaks has published its full archive of 251,000 secret US diplomatic cables, without redactions, potentially exposing thousands of individuals named in the documents to detention, harm or putting their lives in danger. [â¦] The newly published archive contains more than 1,000 cables identifying individual activists; several thousand labelled with a tag used by the US to mark sources it believes could be placed in danger; and more than 150 specifically mentioning whistleblowers." http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2011...edacted-cables (First of all, I would ask the participants of this thread to avoid making political commentsâ¦) Clearly whistleblowers and informants can no longer trust WikiLeaks. Who is going to give secret information over to WikiLeaks knowing that their identity will be compromised? Is this the beginning of the end of WikiLeaks
To think I had respect for The Guardian. This sorry mess was the Guardian's fault and once one of their journalists (David Leigh) had released the encryption key the unredacted files were available to every intelligence agency world over, it was only right Wikileaks released the cables themselves. No fall of wikileaks, the question is who will trust The Guardian now. On that note there has only been one reported consequence of the revealing of sources and that has been a solitary job dismissal. no deaths
Julian Assange seems to be the biggest weirdo i have ever seen let's hope he gets sent to prison for the rape allegations
Yeah there's a thing. If there had been a conspiracy the number of people that would be involved in something that big would mean surely one person would blow the whistle.
if assange was so dangerous he would be 6 feet under or locked up, he is neither, so he is a cia disinfo fraud shill
Wikileaks = good (when it releases information which makes the Yanks look bad). Wikileaks = Bad. A Government Black Ops agency when they don't say the things people want to hear
