For me the important thing was Che didnt have his weight behind that leg, so it wasnt as dangerous as some feet off the ground challenges. But i was worried, bad tackle.
Re: Che Adams, remember the VAR official is not making the decision, he is checking the ref's decision Ref will explain why he thinks no red card, VAR simply checking that he can see evidence for why this was an acceptable call. Sky Sports did an interesting video on it where Neil Swarbrick showed that Kompany's tackle on Salah could've been red or yellow, and VAR would've stuck with ref's decision either way
Be interesting to see how long the match is....especially as Saints games are invariably the last to finish anyway (especially if we are winning ).
We’re doing okay. Lacking some coordination among the attackers. Che Adams is in weird places and making odd runs while Ings is hanging back so there is no one available in the box.
Well, that was attritional! Saints look decent in possession but their final pass has been lacking. Burnley have also been stifled thankfully. I can see Boufal or Djenepo getting a run out if this game is still 0-0 after an hour.
