Sky are putting highlights on their Youtube channel almost immediately following all matches now, so I think MOTD is a bit ****ed:

That was up very quickly last night.

It's only annoying as you can't claim we was given a win by the officials for once <laugh>

It's bound to have its hiccups especially this season if they can identify the problems and solve them then var is gonna be a benefit to the game imo

    Eventually <laugh>

I remember a few years back where Juande Ramos managed half his points total that season at Scamford Bridge, yet the MOTD highlights edited out everything we did in that match other than that goal - yet the only things that Chelsea did that were edited out were the numerous cynical fouls they were getting away with throughout the match

Scholes reported in the media that United should have went all out to get Eriksen. What part of - he's not:

    a) interested in joining a UEFA Cup team
    b) interested in staying in the Premier League
    c) interested in heading north where it's colder

    ...does he have trouble understanding?

Going the same way as Norwich. DOWN! Lot of sly "professional fouling" going on by City. They've been well taught by someone.....!

I am sorry but I agree with him - Offside was introduced to stop 'goal hanging' and is meant to be stop strikers gaining an advantage. Football is about scoring goals and disallowing goals for players being a cm off side is in my opinion not in the spirit of the game .

In the light of VAR the offside law needs to change maybe clear daylight between the striker and the defender.

I am not convinced that they can guarantee that the lines are drawn at the exact milli-second that ball left the passers foot and therefore these very marginal decisions should stand.

Goalkeepers and defenders will disagree with your theory about football being about scoring goals...

Your last point is a very good one. But perhaps the lines are drawn to allow for the margin of error in the technology. Whatever the rule says, it is going to come down to millimetres.
I can see a case for abolishing offside altogether but there have been trials which seem to have come down the other way. While it may have been introduced to prevent goal hanging, it has made a huge difference to the way the defence plays.

    True!!

But not conceding goals only means you cant lose! You can't win a match without scoring and as a fan I want to see goals. we all appreciate a great save or goaline clearance, but they will never match the exhilaration that races through your body when your team scores.
