Sending you sympathy but considerable less sympathy having to watch Bielsaball sober than having to watch Heckingbottom/Hockaday/Colin ball sober

Unfortunately as you can see from my previous post, I won't be going. It was hard enough in the airport drinking a coke and watching my son drink cider in front of me...

Cheers Wakey. That's life. If I was flying in and out I'd have been ok, but my flight wasn't going till after eight on the Sunday. Anyway I'm booked in for the Derby game in Sept. Hopefully see you and a few others then.<ok>

Cheers Davy. <ok> Sometimes there comes a point that you have to realise what you got away with in your 20s you can't in your 50s. <wah>
I've been ignoring it for many many weeks. Went three weeks ago to my doc, put on anti biotics and sent for xray. Went back because pills weren't working and told xray was clear. Went a third time because I could hardly breath and got put on steroids and inhaler. So eventually yesterday checked into A+E had xray/bloods etc etc and told it was bronchitis. Why the twats in my own couldn't have seen that in the first xray is beyond me. The only thing is these painkillers ain't working. <wah> Fecking solpadeine are crap and can only take them every 6 hrs.<wah>

Really sorry to hear that, Shaks. Take care of yourself, & we'll get together next time. Drugged up to the eyeballs myself, so I'm on the cola too. :(

Know the feeling. A few years ago, Mrs WJ broke her arm & had a plate & 11 screws put in to fix it. First hospital declared her x-rays clear!!! Second opinions used to be something us Brits were reluctant to ask for, but I don't hesitate now.

I'm on the Solpadeine-type pills. Prescription jobs - 500mg paracetamol & 30mg codeine. Knock me bandy quite a lot. Not clever to drink with it, as you become quite familiar with gutters. :) Do you realise you can take ibuprofen alongside it? Paracetamol & ibuprofen are complimentary. The beauty of ibuprofen is that it not only has (relatively poor) pain-killing properties, but it attacks inflammation. I have the kinky version on prescription for the inflammation - Naproxen. I'm wondering if some ibuprofen might help, but best to ask at the chemist.
