I'm sad that we've had to sack the bus driver now Rafa's gone. I never like to see people made redundant.
Haha, whilst I understand people may have been frustrated with his tactics and way of playing. He always had us with a punchers chance in most games. Time will tell if we will rue his departure.
There is nothing to rue for me as he chose to go elsewhere. Same as Rondon and Perez. People piss and moan but there was never any hope of keeping any of the three in my opinion. Perez was making noises when Rafa was here. Rafa got offered 12m a year, that was the end of the game. Rondon himself is on 8m a year (150K per week). There is nothing to rue for me because I don't think any of the three could have been persuaded to stay. That is astronomical money for two blokes at the end of their career and Perez has gone to a better club having wanted to leave.
Think of the positions of the Clubs at the start of the Ashley tenure, re-read what you typed and then consider why some people may have a problem with it. For the record, clubs which I now view as 'better clubs' than NUFC: Man U Man C Arsenal Tottenham Chelsea Liverpool Everton Wolves Leicester Watford Also arguably: Bournemouth West Ham It's a list which has grown progressively under the tenure of Ashley.
Leicester have an owner literally willing to throw money at it. If our fans can't work that out they are even thicker than first thought.
Losing rondon and perez is such a huge mistake ! Perez haters will soon learn! I assume the same idiots are the ones still not realising manquillo has been our best defender for quite some time now!!!! Another game and arsenal got **** all joy down our right hand side .
Rondon was never staying and Perez chose to leave. It matters not to Newcastle United because they weren't viable options.
We got rid of him half way through his reign. He parked it and then left it there for the rest of the season.
I dont agree ... we were happy to let them go and it matters because we dont have them.. dont be fooled .... we simply opted not to keep either of them.. no money in rondon and cash in time on perez......the most vomit inducing thing i here fans say these days is " its good business "
Basically it was obvious watching norwich that their manager knows how a team should play football.... it was goid football... obvs not the greatest side. I think were the opposite,... old school foorball with a handful of better players..
Well you sir are an ostrich if you think Perez was staying. He began making noises when Rafa was here, and his recent interview tells you his time was up in his head. He gave good service so I think its fair enough he wanted a new challenge. And if you think Rondon's love of Newcastle was going to see him turn down 150K per week plus, then you are also mad as a *****ose. That's life they wanted out. You move on and try to replace them. We've tried. Whether those coming in are good enough, or whether we have enough in the coaching ranks to assist them in showing they are good enough is another question of course. Time will tell.
Not this again !! The argument began when i suggested we missed them!! Whether he chose to leave or whether we chose not to keep him is a seperate argument. This is what annoys me on here!! If i say we missed rondon and perez and someone says " perez wanted to leave " they might aswel say the sky is blue if ive said i like crisps
Yes but if you piss and moan for well over a month, people assume its not just that you think we will miss them, its that you think we could have done something about it. Now you have confirmed you accept that they wanted out and were not a realistic option for us, and its just you think we will miss them, we get your viewpoint better. I would say its probably best to move on rather than mope about it like a love sick puppy though. Rondon and Perez are gone, long live Joelinton and Almiron.
