Madrid now apparently in for Neymar... according to "sky sources" over £500m is about to be spent in the next couple of days haha
https://www.burytimes.co.uk/sport/17802692.efl-suspend-burys-opening-league-one-game-mk-dons/ Bury's EFL Cup game v MK Dons has been suspended as they couldn't provide guarantees that they would start the season
Average defenders going for 80 odd million. Historic clubs close to going bust for about a sixth of that. Welcome to football in 2019.
The Neville brothers could have sold off their interest in Salford to the others and pumped into Bury. Didn’t their late Father have links there?
Depends how bad Bury's situation is....keeping them afloat temporarily whilst they are still shipping water is a waste of time.
FA charge Huddersfield with misconduct over the shirts worn in a pre-season friendly. Not unexpected, but didn't hurt anyone. Hope the punishment is minor.
They played a friendly with a bigger-than-regulation Paddy Power logo on their shirts, and afterwards revealed their real kit with no sponsor showing.
Especially as Paddy Power’s own publicity about it was making a case for not having shirt sponsorship at all.
You also have to remember that the FA is mostly made up of doddery old farts who know bugger all about the game from a fans point of view. In fact, they’re probably all ex-referees! *
Watched Bargain Hunt yesterday and they came across some Pompey memorabilia....hoping to send it to auction. The contestant declined it and said with a laugh, 'They don't have many fans now, do they?'
