I’ve no issues with Grant being made captain, love for the club, been a decent captain elsewhere. I don’t buy into it meaning he’s a guaranteed starter, that’s another question. I doubt Ross has thought ‘who’s first in the team sheet’ and named him. I love Grants love for the club, and for all I get folk who feel he’s maybe past his best and such I think he can make a massive contribution if we get the balance right, combining him with Dobson, who’s full of energy and running and letting him sit deep and try and dictate the game is the way, he’s the best passer we have right now. He’ll be a good leader, we just need that formula for the 5 in front of him.
Agree mate. So if we take that concern a few out of the equation, for me Grant is a solid pick. I like CB’s as captains personally as they see the whole game, but I’ve not seen any leadership in ours so a holding midfielder is the next best, and nobody in the squad knows the club like GL.
