Not sure where this leaves Mendy with Praet coming in but I suppose options are vital if we want to be successful. Can’t see albrighton going from being our first choice winger to the championship... My prediction is we end up with Tomori in on loan and that’s it...
I think the tactic is the crowd the centre of the pitch and get Ricardo and Chilwell up and down giving them more freedom. Tielemans and Ricardo have a great partnership Chilwell needs to improve his final ball. Only thing missing from his game
Truthfully we dont know what we have other then with Morgan and Evans Soyuncu we have seen glimpes of. Alot to like and alot to improve and the only person who knows about Benkovic is Brendan Rodgers I think they was signed with a view of Morgan moving on now but Maguire has instead. Just have to wait and see and trust Rodgers
Benkovic’s height is sort of what we need. Just worries me that they don’t appear to have anything like the confidence they have in Soyuncu in him.
Thats his second long term injury in a year Would like to see what he could do, but would rather not haveto keep chopping and changing the CB's. Looks like Praet will be the only one today, unless we don't finalise until 17:00.14
Praet done deal. He has chosen to take the 26 shirt. Wonder who had that last Callum Elder also signed for Hull on a permanent deal. Gets us some of our Harry Maguire money back
Praet is an AM so will be competing with Maddison and Perez. Mendy will be competing with Ndidi, Silva and Choudery for the DM slot.
I think Mendy will leave tbh. King and James didnt leave either. James I can see going to Sunderland or someone like that. Top end League 1 club but cant see King dropping down that far Silva, Ghezzal, Diabate and Slimani will all probably leave still as foreign windows are still open
We have got a lot of deadwood that needs to leave - have a feeling we will be holding on to them for a while.
Most of our deadwood is much more likely to leave for foreign clubs anyway so them still being here today doesnt change much. King I could possibly see moving to that massive club in Scotland. The Celtic reserves James just needs to play and scrappy games in league 1 probably arent a great idea but its that or sit around rotting in the development squad
We're unlikely to clear anybody on a permanent due to the wages we are paying, you could argue that a club may invest in Mendy on a permanent, but not the others, expect a load of loans.
I would be disappointed to lose Mendy, he’s quite good. Silva might as well go - good player with some value. Would be suprised if someone like Monaco didn’t take him and his wages on. Surely they can’t be that much? Slimani seems to be rotting away and no one wants him. Potential to compete with Ihenacho as a plan B. Ghezzal id have thought the Turkish league or similar would be interested - when he is given time which our league doesn’t give he can cut in and score some screamers. Diabate needs a loan or a sale with a large profit percentage. King will probably just stay around the team, but a big league 1 would be good for him. James... not a clue.
King wont go league 1. He is miles too good for that level and it wont help him play for Wales James on the other hand just needs to go somewhere and play. League 1 or Scotland are his best bets now
