Just be positive. Or go and support Sunderland. That's where the negative supporters belong. WE don't need them.
So if sunderland fans all lie to themselves theyll not be **** either?? Who is WE btw? I mean I love you and everything, but i think WE would argue about whos got the biggest half of the bed, so leeeets just keep it me and you for now sugar lips.
Paid for all our signings in full upfront again, whilst read somewhere that the Perez money is being received in installments. Start budget £50million + £11 million (left from previous windows budget) + £10million (estimated 1st Ayoze installment) + £2million (Joselu) Total budget: £73million Spend: £40million Joelinton £20million Saint Maximin £1million Willems loan fee £5million Krafth Total spend: £66million Factor in signing fees for players, agents and the Premier League and we've probably spent nearly everything in the budget.
We didnt pay 40 or 20 it was 36 and 16 , we got 2 million for joselu and did we pay it all upfront? Not a bad window
Widely stated that the clauses to raise each deal to those figures, £40 and £20 million respectively, are very easily reached. We purchased highly regarded players and had to pay the going rate to do so. That we did for once is promising. Yes, I included the £2million for Joselu. And going from all reports, yes we paid all fees in full and upfront "to ensure we have a healthy transfer budget year on year". Absolutely doesn't get MA off the hook for 12 years of negligence, but this was a decent transfer window all told. Squad looks stronger on paper. Rondon out, Joelinton in. We'll see how it plays out, but Joelinton looks very good and I'm hopeful he'll prove to be the more successful player for us. Perez out, Saint-Maximin in. Again, we'll see. Less sure this is an upgrade, but ASM does look an exciting player. Joselu out, Carroll in. I know who I prefer us having. Willems and Krafth in. Strengthening our wing-back options at last.
Yes, it really is. If we did use up all our budget though, not sure I would have preferred him to Joelinton. We'll have to wait and see how that one goes.
Quite happy with that window. Perez was good in the second half of the season, but the four years or so before that, he was decidedly average. Shame about Rondon, I would have liked him to stay, but excited to see Joelinton. Likewise Saint Maximin. Willems seems half decent, and if we get 20 games from Carroll, I’m sure he’ll get a few. Quietly confident about the new season, I can see us finishing no lower than 14th, which is the height of our ambition these days. Still not going to the Arsenal game out of matter of principle. Still despise Ashley and his cronies.
T We have exceeded my expectations in this window but they, due to previous windows, weren’t set particularly high. One step back and that was a decent to good window. Will boycott the Arsenal game as a protest against Ashley. Probably won’t achieve anything but better than doing nothing at all. Would hope attendance will be less than 40,000 as that should draw media attention for what it’s worth. There will be the usual deluded Geordies comments but would also hope that one or two more astute observers would look more deeply as to why so many are boycotting. You can only live in hope. Season wise am now inclined to attend as some “effort” to improve the team has been made. Time will tell if it works or not.
In such a short time, a good looking window for me. Crowd over 50000 Sunday. Rafa and anti-Ashley warblers being told to STFU. Hopefully a point or three, or at least not too big a loss. Most excited I've been about the new season for a long time.
If you ever feel yourself losing your grasp on reality, I always recommend the comment section on the NUFC facebook page or take a little look on The Mag. It's essentially the same repeated comments from morons who can't grasp our situation. I agree with Bruce, for Newcastle United it is a remarkable window, in fact, window's and managerial decisions have been better overall under Charnley and he generally isn't a bad chairman. If he was at any other club, they would likely be happy with him. Things aren't always black and white, it is possible for Mike Ashley to be a bad owner and the fans to be delusional miserable toss pots simultaneously.
I think its been a pretty good window. Its not the amount we have spent. Think we did pretty well to get 30million for Perez and have spent that and some of Mike’s pocket change well, filling some gaps in the squad. Personally wouldn't have bothered with Carroll - think he’s ****ed, but as a freebie on a pay as you play deal why not?
Stop it. You've got to be more negative than this. At least try to claim we've spent nothing please. Terrible window, all the signings are either **** or unproven, we'll get relegated, Maximin/Joelinton/Willems will go threes up on your wife in a big black gang bang.
