and yet you're celebarting the capture of someone we got rid of for free because he is nowhere near good enough for our squad.
Were just happy to see local lads in our squad. Maybe one day you might have a few local people in your corner shops down there .
I think its been a tremendous window. Outgoing: Perez, Diame, Joselu Incoming: Joelinton, Maximin, Carroll, Krafth, Willems, Scott Obviously we've swapped Gayle back for Rondon too which is downgrade. Before the window started I wanted to strengthen the full back areas and that has been attempted. I wanted to strengthened the forward line and that has been attempted with Carroll, Joelinton and Maximin. When you add in Almiron, I think our forward line looks pretty decent. I wanted to strengthen the holding midfield area, but we've failed there. Overall compared to recent windows its been a roaring success. Ok we've only spent in actual transfer fees 30m nett to achieve it, but we've actually attempted to improve.
I agree but at least we've had a go for once. We've went and bought an 80m forward line in the last 8 months which I'd have never expected to see under Ashley. They might not work out but its better than the usual craic. We've had weaknesses at full back and addressed it. I mean we've needed another left back for about 16 windows.
Yeha there is that but I never judge a manager on how they've done elsewhere. We'll see how he goes and then judge him. It might click. I don't expect it but like any true Newcastle fan should, he'll have my support until his performance suggests he doesn't deserve it.
I think weve had a good window tbh , but lets just remember the ticket prices , the strip prices, the failure to sign rondon , the sale of perez and if course the last decade.
He’s exactly the type of player we need to have available to us against the scruffy teams that like to get a bit physical, he gives us a a different option to what we currently have and have had for a while now. The thing I like about Carroll is that you know exactly what you’re gonna get from him every time he’s on the pitch, unlike some who have been at our club, Kenedy, Perez, Rondon etc. If we get 15+ games out of him we’ll get 7-10’goals out of him and he’ll create a fair few for others as well. No brainer for me!
