If we lose him this window we will have gone backwards. He's been our second most important player for 6 years now. No way is Lo Celso going to just waltz in and pick up from where he left. He could need as much as an entire season to adapt to the PL. Ideal scenario now would be for him to sign a new contract which contains a reasonable release clause, then he'll play his socks off to attract attention ahead of next summer and we'll have a season of transition for Lo Celso to adapt.
We can only hope that if Dybala is still under-used at Juve come January then we'll have a great chance of getting him.
Welcome Seen him play a few times as Betis helped me win a few quid. He's technically very good, quick thinking and works his nuts off. A bit like our fellow Argentinians, Lamela and Foyth, he's prone to taking risks in his own half, which is why I think he's better off playing with a foil behind him. He might take awhile to settle but he has the ingredients to fix some of the problems we've had like breaking a press and picking out players in the final third.
Levy can do a repeat of Modric 2011-12. Whether Eriksen would similarly get his finger out and put in a shift for the season remains to be seen. Anyway, I suspect that we will have options for Dybala come the winter (assuming the summer saga has not burnt any goodwill bridges, whether he gets decent game time between now and then is another story) .
Looks like Lo Celso is taking the number 18. Probably not great on the Llorente front, though he could always take 9, I guess.
Never doubted it for a second. Getting the news nineteen minutes after the deadline certainly built the drama for those with less faith, though.
