Quite sad to see he has more votes than Rob Lee. But as long as Rob Lee is in centre mid, the universe will set itself right.

    Yep.

People seem to forget the amount of trouble he got himself in at the beginning of his NUFC career. Did time , bust ups with Shearer , unnecessary red card at Anfield that ruled him for the rest of the season , injured for one whole season.

But no , because he had a decent season and started waxing lyrical about us fans on twitter , he's a legend.

    Not buying that.

I couldn't let that happen. Prob my favorite toon player. Pissed me off so much when other clubs fans said he wasn't good enough for england. The guy was fantastic

Yeah he was a really fantastic player, an all time premier league newcastle midfield simply has to contain him and beardsley.

42 to Solano, and 3 to the next player, think its safe to say Solano will win this.

Rob Lee wasn't a right winger so not sure why he is in this list - however I voted for him as I assume he won't be put in the CM berths and is my second fave Newcastle player of all time (just behind Big Dazzla Peacock)

When I was a kid my school teacher was married to him or her sister was married to him or something close like that anyway. So he got us all invited to the training ground to meet the players. He is a legend for that alone!

Quality sounds like the time Peter Beardsley replaced Steve Howey at the opening of a new training event and the following day around school there was hundreds of signed Peter Beardsley photo's didn't even go myself yet had 3 or 4 signed photo's by the great man.

Awesome, Beardsley is a top lad and a true professional. I still have my photos of Albert and Beardsley signing my school excercise books knocking around somewhere haha. Good times.

The vast majority of them were like that then, though Andy Cole was meant to have been a right [NSFW]twat,[/NSFW] when someone I know saw him at reserve match and I remember Paul Kitson kicking me at the training ground once and never even apologised, though to be fair he did give me his autograph.

Yeah I heard the same about Cole too. Kitson kicked you? I'm assuming you mean by accident in the foot and not some massive roundhouse kick or something haha. Still, he could have at least apologised.

Yeah, that's right, think I was about 9 at the time, hold it more against him now than I did then.

took my nephew to the training ground and cole blanked him when he asked for his autograph pav saw it shook his head put his arm round him and took us to where the keepers were training and allowed him to run and collect stray balls.
on the way pav said cole was a moody **** never liked the ****er after that loved pav though the smile on the little uns face was magic.
