Well, firstly, Barton has never had any altercations with anyone to do with QPR. Secondly, Barton's serious misdemeanours have been off the pitch at a time when he has openly admitted he had a problem with drink. Diouf has no such excuse. Off pitch crimes, in my opinion, are more excusable as long as they don't involve picking on women, kids, the disabled etc. Diouf has twice been charged with spitting at fans and once with racially abusing an 11 year-old ballboy. Barton has also sought rehabilitation after recognising his faults and is involved in a lot of charity work. To be fair, Diouf has set up something charitable in Senegal too. Barton will benefit our team. Diouf isn't good enough.
Sorry, didn't post this to start another Barton mass murderer but does it matter if he plays for us debate, think we have had enough of those, didn't even cross my mind when I started the thread, and I am a self confessed hypocrite on the subject anyway. anybody with the energy can check the relevant threads to see where we all stand, let's leave it.
