    Very clever.
I assume the upfront money would balance the Betis summer transfer books.
if it does not work at Spurs for him, then they get him back.

In that respect I feel sorry for him.

No doubt he wants to stay, but the club are willing to sell him.
I also wonder whether a new cult of CR7 is brewing at Juventus.

Corriere della Sera saying Inter have Lukaku in the bag and are now turning their attentions to Dybala who doesn't want the Premier League.
    https://www.corriere.it/sport/19_ag...ni-d957f82a-b952-11e9-8028-c32e9be56d04.shtml

    translated...

La Joya (Dybala's nickname) doesn't re-enter Juve's plans (who also hope to offload Mandzukic to Manure) and Paratici is pushing him to agree a deal with Spurs. Juve and Spurs have already agreed a 70 million deal, including bonuses but the player after chatting with Poch isn't convinced. Image rights and agent fees (Spurs will only pay 2 million; the other 13 million will have to be paid by Juve to smooth the exit) are insurmountable obstacles. Spurs are proposing 8 million per year salary whereas the Argentine wants 10. If the way becomes too difficult then a swap deal with Inter for Icardi becomes more probable. Time is against the Spurs deal

Must be a lifestyle thing because surely he'd want to test himself in a more competitive league.

It’s a neat trick for screwing PSG out of £3 mill too.

They only get 20% of the sale, but nothing on the loan fee.

I think the latter is true, they’ve bought in Our Lord and Saviour (TM) CR7 for massive financial cost with the sole aim of winning the CL, which is fair enough, but the team has to be built round him, and there were rumours of this causing friction with Dybala for a lot of last season.

Juve now apparently close to selling Mandzukic to United. Looks like the Supreme Leader CR7 has demanded a cull of anyone who plays in the final third of the pitch.

Have to say I'm a bit surprised at the fee for Sessegnon. £25m rising to £30m with bonuses plus we're giving them a player worth at least £5m? Seems a tad steep given he has a year left but he has clearly been one of Poch's priority targets for 2 years now so I am glad to see we're willing to spend above the odds in order to get him what he wants.

Gary Jacob at The Times has added Youcef Atal to today's docket

Of course, there is only one response...

...although, sadly, no flight details yet

It would confirm that the issue all along for Betis was how/when
they pay the sell-on money to PSG (as some here suspected)
rather than the actual transfer fee set.

If so, then Spurs are to be applauded in this saga for helping Betis out
(even though it has been painful and gone to the wire) .

Sure. Not every player is driven solely by money.

If Dybala leaves for Inter, perhaps he will one day state
that the wage / image rights demands were just to make him
    too bothersome for PL suitors (who could afford the transfer fee) .;
