Isn’t he currently Tottenham’s only right back? Can’t see that. I predict one more out today (hoping Austin although I think he’ll be exiled until Jan) and no more ins, then two more outs in the next few weeks to clubs abroad. AKA slightly disappointing but expected.
Happy Transfer Deadline Day everyone. Even to the Sky Reporter who will be spending a totally pointless day outside Staplewood . At least it all finishes at 5pm, and not 11pm.
Another right back might add competition but it wouldn't be my priority, so I would be surprised but it has been rumoured in a few places so we shall see!
Good luck to Josh....can think of worse things than a spell in New York. I like Josh and he brings something to the team....just his hard luck that he plays in an area where we have options already.
Isn't that because we keep buying players for that position as we don't seem to deem him good enough?
Playoffs run Oct 19th - Nov 10th. NYRB has 10 - 17 games left, from the looks, depending on how deep they go.
As is standard for a lot of 'New York' sports teams, they're based in New Jersey. Mostly because there is space to build things in New Jersey, because New Jersey is 95% armpit.
If Austin does go, and with at least a possibility that one or two others join him, we might be in a position to do something. I'd happily take one of Smalling, Jones, Tanzebe or Rojo from Man Utd on loan or cut price. Really worried about lack of quality and depth at centre half. I wonder, too, if we are still interested in JK Augustien, and whether we just need to shift a few attacking players before going back for him. Werner has not gone anywhere and they've added Lookman so Leipzig might be open to it. Clearly, no basis for any of this. Just deadline day musings!
Yeah, I just find it funny. There was outcry that West Ham would be based 3 miles away...the two New York MLS teams are 20 miles and a good hour or more of travel and a state line apart, and there's a "Los Angeles" sports team that's 30 miles from the city (and a "San Francisco" team that's 50 miles away, and two hours plus from SF).
I should imagine we are divided on how good a window we've had but I wonder how Ralph is feeling? The promised and much anticipated squad overhaul has certainly not materialised from his perspective one would think.
Distances are all relative...hence a 10 mile trip on the Island is off putting for us locals , whereas Australians and Americans travels vast distances.
